Any exciting weekend plans? Did everyone have a great 4th?
Last weekend was pretty relaxing for us, we enjoyed laying in the grass and watching the fireworks.
We are going rafting on Sunday, doing the Taos Box, I'm really excited. We went for a shorter trip for the first time time last year and had a lot of fun. I was just thinking that I should have posted earlier and we could have made that the first NM Nest get together, its probably not to late if you guys want to come!!

Re: Weekend
Rafting would have been fun this weekend!
I'm heading out to the Los Ranchos de ABQ Lavendar in the Valley Festival. Lots of fun stuff - music, food, cooking lessons, lavendar demos, etc. And then downtown at night for Summer Nights.....\Who are you going rafting with?
That looks interesting, I never would have heard of it if you hadn't posted about it. I sent the info to a friend that might be interested in going.
We are going with New Wave Rafting, they are the company that we went with on a shorter trip last year and really liked them. Three of our friends are going with us.
The Los Ranchos Lavendar Festival is always a blast. Although it's gotten really crowded the last few years. Parking is tight up in that part of the North Valley - but they have a free shuttle and open up the school parking lots. I managed to get a few new lavendar plants, taste some cool sangrias at Anderson Vinyards and gave a great time.
If your friend likes lavendar, she should look into the yearly festival up in SF at Los Golondrinas. that one is a fundraiser for Kitchen Angels. It used to be held dup in Chimayo, which was my favorite festival. But they moved it down to SF several years ago.
Awww, darn, I'm late.
This weekend was good. I got up super early and ran 3 laps around the ABQ Academy...I couldn't resist and did a little extra, making it an even 10 miles. Slept for a while and went downtown for a friend's bachelorette party. We just slept in Sunday and bummed around the house.
Rafting sounds so fun! Two of my co-workers have gone and I've been dying to try it!

I'm reeeaaallly late on this one.
DH and I just got back last night from our Ohio/New York family reunions.
It was fun, but I'm glad to be back home. Three weeks is a long time to be gone.
