Hopefully tomorrow is better.
My flight from Baltimore left early this morning. Things were going fine until weather/wind in Dallas was bad, we got sent in a holding pattern between southern Texas and Kansas.
Then they closed the airport, so we got sent to Oklahoma City. We never got taken to a gate and we were told that we were going refuel. Well, we sat on the tarmac for another 2 hours with no food and not at a gate. We get clearance for take off and we start to taxi down the runway when they suddenly come on and say that we have again been delayed. We wait another 2 hours still on the runway and not at a gate.
Of course this means
we all missed our next flight and the real kicker - no meal vouchers,
no hotel vouchers, and they wanted to book me on a Sunday flight. A
few tears managed to get me on the flight tomorrow. Of course I don't
have my bags now either, hopefully they will make it to my destination.

That totally stink Stacey! I hope you can get some rest this evening and I hope your day tomorrow is better.
We've been having thunderstorms for 2 days straight now. It isn't suppose to clear up until Sunday. The airline won't give anything but possibly discounts because the issue isn't their fault, but acts of nature. It all sucks, I know. They should have been at least able to offer you drinks if nothing else and also play a movie.
Hopefully, by the time you see this you will have gotten to your location.
What airline was it? Most now don't even offer food.

It was definitely a trying day. I have to say that it was incredible that people stayed so calm. I was hanging in there until I got off the plane and they were completely unhelpful. In the end, it was an airline decision to keep the plane grounded not the weather, so I will be contacting customer services.
There were no tvs on the flight so no option of a movie and they wouldn't pull up to a gate to give anyone a break.
Luckily my next flight was more uneventful. Of course I had to cry when they showed Marley and Me on the plane. I'm here now and already sunburned but doing ok, just tired and wishing I was at home instead.

Can you tell us the airline?
After having several really bad experiences on various airlines (shredded luggage/canceled flights with no notice/basically calling passengers liars when 1/2 the plane missed connections due to being stuck on the tarmak and then refusing to comp anything), we now will only fly Continental.. who incedently still has meals/snacks & beverage service included.
