So I am home and had the best weekend! We had such beautiful weather. We left around 11 am yesterday and went to the Inner Harbor. We around there for a couple of hours, had a drink at an outside bar.... went to the Sheraton then went out on a dinner cruise. This morning we went out to breakfast to the Blue Moon Cafe (it was a restaurant featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives on the Food Network, that my DH and I really wanted to try... we had Captain Crunch French Toast... so yummy!) The only blip we had was the hotel... our room wasn't ready and they were over an hour late... they ended up upgrading us to "club level" and we had an awesome view of the Harbor and had awesome toiletries in the bathroom.... (I am a lotion snob and it was a whole assortment of Bliss products and shower poof...YAY!).
It was such a wonderful weekend... DH is not the romantic type so this was just the best.... I almost cried a couple of times knowing how much thought and effort he had put in to it!
Re: The BEST weekend ever!
Aww, that sounds like a fantastic weekend for you! Props to your DH for doing such a great job.
Was your dinner cruise with Spirit Cruises? That's who DH used last year when he surprised me with the weekend away for our anniversary, and it was such a nice time.
And the cafe sounds AMAZING... any place that can dish up something like Captain Crunch french toast sounds like a winner!
... every single day of forever.
I'm glad to hear that you had a great weekend! You lucked out with the gorgeous weather too! Your DH definitely gets lots of points for planning all that without you knowing.
Yes that is who we did cruise with. It was such a great time for me as well!
Aww thats sounds soo nice! Inner harbor must have been gorgous! I took DH on a dinner cruise a few years ago, b4 we were married. It is really kind of a fun unique thing to do. It's nice that you got a room upgrade, just when you think things may go south, they turn out alright afterall.
Where is the Blue Moon Cafe, thats sounds neat?
The cafe was a block from Fell's Point.... about a mile and a half from Inner Harbor. If you are interested I can get you the information
That is wonderful! I'm glad you had a great trip.
I love the Sheraton downtown and the Blue Moon Cafe is famous for the area.
