Re: i love you

  • Who said "i love you" first? He said it first.  We were at his parents/his house after work (work ended at 1am). We were sitting in the hot tub before I had to head to the airport (5am).  ME: what are you thinking? HIM: I think.. I love you ME: I think I love you too.  cheesy I know How often do you and DH say "i love you" throughout the day? We say it to many times to count.  We say it everytime we get off the phone, when we wake up, when we go to work, when we eat dinner/lunch/breakfast!  There isnt a hour or day that goes by when we do not say "i love you" at least 20 times!  Growing up was "i love you" something you heard often? DH? My family is very "i love you" oriented!  We dont leave or hang up the phone without saying "i love you" <-- this includes mom, dad, brother, mima, papa, aunts, uncles, & cousins.  DH grew up the same way I did!  Our parents didnt hear it very much growing up and they have made sure that did not happen to their children!
    • i said it first, but he said it back right after...it was a super special evening :)
    • hmmm, often!
    • My mom always said it to me growing up, my dad said it now and then, but was always a man of few words...you just "knew" he loved you :)  He started saying it more as we got older though...i miss him.

  • He said it first a few days after our 1 month anniversary.  I said it right back.  We both said that we knew before but was scared to say it!!

We tell each other all the time I love you.  Definitley everytime we get off the phone too.

My parents said it to me sometimes growing up and I dont think his really ever did.  When I was in highschool I started saying it more to my parents cause it was nice to hear from them.  Since then we always say it.   His family still doesnt say it, but I'm soo thankful DH is not like that.

  • First I texted it to him (while we were snuggling together). Then he said me too. Then we both said we had wanted to say it the previous weekend (it had been a beautiful fall weekend and we had taken a drive to Vermont, it was fun and romantic, but both of us thought it was too soon to say it)

?Whenever we talk on the phone, which is 2-3 times a day while ?he's at work, we say it, and in most of our texts we say it. When we wake up, when one of us leaves the room, when we're kissin and cuddlin, when we go to sleep, and randomly while just hanging out

?In my family?we say it all the time. Always on the phone. I grew up hearing it a lot from my mom and grandparents, but not so much from my dad. He says it a lot now tho.?

  • 1.  I said it first.  I might have been a bit drunk (lol) but it was still true :)

    2.  We say it at least once to each other daily when we talk on the phone (oh the joys of a long-distance relationship)

    3.  Yes, my family was a very love-y fam

  • 1. He said it first. Right after my high school graduation, he said im so proud of you and I love you so much! I was like hold up...replay...i love you to!

    2. All the time! Everytime we talk on the phone, or text, when we see eachother and then there are the random times he just says it when Im cooking or something.

    3. My family- very much so. people used to laugh at my brothers and I because we always said it they were like wow, but when your brother who is also your best friend is in a war zone in iraq...you never know so. Dh family not so much. His parents are very non contact kind of people.

    • Who said "I love you" first?  DH said it first - the day he proposed.  He felt very strongly that he would not tell anyone he loved them (outside of his family) until he knew he would marry.  Even though we knew we were in love long before then, I respected his belief in that.
    • How often do you and DH say "i love you" throughout the day? At least once or twice but, usually much more often.
    • Growing up was "i love you" something you heard often? DH? Yes, I head it everyday growing up in my family. We are all very affectionate (never hang up the phone or leave the house without saying "I love you").  DH also heard it a lot in his house from his mom, and from his family overseas.

    • Who said "I love you" first?  DH said it first, after our second date.  He also admitted that he knew he was going to marry me after our third date.
    • How often do you and DH say "i love you" throughout the day? A lot.  Ever text, every phone call and more
    • Growing up was "i love you" something you heard often? DH? Yeah.  I heard it a lot from my mom, grandparents and aunts and uncles.  To this day I never hang up the phone without saying it to my mom and my sisters and I have started to do this too.DH did not hear it a lot growing up.  He had it rough, even as an adult (his mom told him she wished he was still in Iraq at one of his friends weddings, or try to convince me that he's not a good person and that I shouldn't marry him).  Even now when she says it, it seems forced and like she's only doing it for show. Probably one of the reasons he loves my mom so much, she accepted him as part of the family from day one!
  • Who said "i love you" first? He did, we were over at a friend of mines house, we were outside on the side of the house, and i don't remember the exact conversation, but usually we said "i think i like you", but this time he said, "i think I love you"...and i said , "wait, what?"...lol i said it right back...i was just waiting on him. How often do you and DH say "i love you" throughout the day? about a billion times a day. always when we get off the phone, most of the time he says "You love me!"......when we leave for work or wherever..just randomly through out the day if we are together. Growing up was "i love you" something you heard often? DH? growing up my mom always said I love you to us....i'm not close w/ my step dad so i don't remember ever telling him, and my dad every great once in a while he'll say i love you, and never to my step mom...she hasn't liked me until i got engaged, lol...seriously.....then i guess she felt like i didn't need my dad anymore..i dont know---that a whole other story.... DH family, UHmmmmm, he always tells his mamaw, and his mom...his dad never...
