Help me find an apartment! AHH!
I've posted before I am moving my family from Boston to Texas. Now that I've narrowed down the cities we are looking in, I'm having the hardest time choosing an apartment. I get mixed reviews on communities when I check reviews online. They look amazing on their websites, but looks can be deceiving. I'm nervous.
Does anyone have apartments that they have seen in nice areas that are two bedroom for less than $1100? We are looking in Grapevine, Keller, Southlake, Euless, Colleyville. We're looking at communities like City Parc at Keller....help me please! I can't see them through the computer and its bugging me
Re: Help me find an apartment! AHH!
We live in Dove Park Apts in Grapevine in a 2 bedroom and the rent is less than $1000. Our floor plan is really spacious and the interior was totally upgraded.
We did have to demand one of the updated apartments though because they showed our friend one (who went apartment hunting for us) and she took pictures but then they tried to move us in one that wasn't updated.
But...they are located in a nice neighborhood, right across the street from Dove Elementary and a great park and the community pool that has swim lessons and such all summer. Plus it is 2 seconds away from Southlake and all the great shopping available there.
There are quite a few other nice complexes in the area...if you give me the names of the ones you are looking at I'd be happy to tell you about the area and if they are reasonably close would even be willing to snap a few pictures that aren't done just for their website.
The biggest thing is that if you are in this area the complexes themselves are mostly older but have been upgraded so you have to know that for the exterior appearance.
That's what we had our friends do and it was helpful.
I also have quite a few pictures of our apt. at Dove Park...if you send me your email I'll forward them to you heatherlsnow@gmail.com

If I could afford to live in Southlake, that is where I would live. I don't think there are any apartments in Southlake and any rental condos/townhomes would be well over $1100. Colleyville is similiar to Southlake in that I don't know of any apartments and townhomes would be pricey. Grapevine will have a large selection but might be hit or miss, so I would post specific apartments for reviews.
In Keller, either the Arthouse or the Dominion should feed into good schools and have plenty of great neighborhoods to move too if you decide to stay in the area.
Good luck. It's got to be hard to do this online!
