To those of you who have been there... my fiance and I are staying this fri and sat night for our bdays. Saturday we have a sunrise hot air balloon ride followed by afternoon wine tasting tours. Other than that... what should we do? Any good spots to check out? We aren't big gamblers but we'd be down to see a show or grab a good dinner something at a casino... what's the best one around? Thanks!

I grew up in Temecula!
My advice is to stick near the wineries and casinos. Pechanga is the easiest and nicest one out there. The other casinos are not very close to the wineries and certainly not as nice.
That being said, there's not a whole lot to do out there besides drinking wine or hanging at Pechanga. Most restaurants out there are your typical chains, and the only real shopping around is the teeny tiny mall. Old Town is just down hwy 79 from Pechanga. They have tons of antique shops and a few older restaurants. The Silver Spoon and Swing in Cafe are decent breakfast spots.
The Grapevine winery tour is my favorite if you go the shuttle route. Renting a limo is also an option.
If this weather keeps up, you'll probably want to hang out near the pool. It gets HOT down there!

Murrieta Hot Springs used to be AWESOME, but it's a bible college now.

Front Street Bar & Grill...yum
And yes, Glen Ivy is 30 minutes away on the freeway....it is further from where the wine tasting is.
