I must say, I was glad to see her go. I think Ron is a snake though.

I was glad to see Kristin go from a game play stand point but think she still needed time on the ranch to help with her weight loss. But from what they showed from her being at home she has been doing well. I'm interested to see if she does weigh below 200 at the finale.
Ron...I still can't believe he's still there! And what was with him thinking olive oil was so bad for you the whole episode?
I'm glad Mike confronted his dad about the family's weight problems but I think Ron just told Mike what he wanted to hear and doesn't really think it was his fault that Mike and Max are so big.
I loved watching Bob's face when he watched the food diary. He was like "Seriously???" the whole time! I have no clue what is wrong with Ron. Olive oil bad? He's crazy. I was happy to see that his wife was once a larger woman. Now I don't think she married him for money (well, I'm not convinced she did like I was last week).
I think it will come down to Mike and Tara.
It's sad that I barely remember what happened....
I liked Kristin, but I knew she would be leaving. Did anyone else notice that almost everyone in her entire family & circle of friends were overweight?
Ron is unbelievable...He does talk like the Godfather...at the elimination he said "My son WILL win" almost like it was a threat! LOL
After seeing that Ron's wife was overweight in the past MH and I both think that she had gastric bypass just like Ron but she was and is able to keep the weight off.
Tara is SO insecure. She has lost so much weight, wins almost every challenge and has never been below the yellow line but she still doesn't believe iin herself. I wish she knew how awesome she is.
I was not surprised to see Kristen go. I was okay with that because I like Mike and hope he wins. I just hope he doesn't get cocky like his dad. Seeing his wife be larger made me understand even more why Max felt so left out. I think she definitly had gastric bypass. Good for her to keeping it off. I find it interesting how Ron is all of a sudden doing well and not going below the yellow line. Almost like he did it on purpose. If he went below the yellow line early in the game it was easier to keep him because he seemed like such a weak person and he really needed to be there (not that he doesnt). Now he is losing just enough to stay above the line every week because we know that if he fell below they'd send him home to break up him and Mike. Ron is a serious game player. I still think Vicky was worse.
Tara and Mike are obviously the biggest threats to each other. I honestly believe that one of them will win. Tara's insecurity does bother me. I thought she'd be getting more confident as she lost more weight but she seems to doing the opposite.
Sorry - we FINALLY just got around to watching this over the weekend!
Here are my thoughts:
--Kristin, not surprisingly, went home because Ron is the Puppet Master of the game. He is a snake - no doubt about it.
--I recognized a TON when Kristin was finally home and they did all those shots. LOL Jen, your comment about her family & friends. That's NORMAL here (Kristin lives about 30 minutes south of Green Bay, where I live. It's where MH and I grew up, basically.) The norm in this part of WI isn't the healthy, active person. It's unhealthy and larger than life. I kid you not - there isn't much to do in this area besides go out to dinner.
--The elimination was the first time I didn't like Mike. I'm glad he's so confident he can win, but it's not ENTIRELY on his own. His dad has saved him and helped him get to this point in the game... and when he and Ron were talking all "Godfather"esque, ... you FOR THE FIRST TIME saw it on the faces of the other contestants. It was like it finally dawned on them that they should've split up that team.

Tara. I looked at MH and said "I want to be a Tara." Yes, her self confidence sucks, but there are moments when she gets just how strong she is. But even when her self confidence is down, she still fights through it. There has only been one time when she didn't just push through and give her 100% until someone laid into her (when she thought she should quit before the car race because everyone laid all the weight on her and laughed about it.) She's a freaking rockstar and I think she can give Mike a run for his money.
