The H wants to get new windows for the house. Who did you use and if you don't mind about what does it cost per window installed?
Re: New Window ladies
Ours are being installed by Lowe's. We got Pella Energy Star windows (low-E, argon gas), which is on the high end of the spectrum, but it qualifies us for the Energy Star credit for next tax year. 12 normal-sized windows and 1 large picture window... total with labor is $4100.
We also priced out Window World in Franklinville, and they were cheaper for the cheaper window, but more for the more expensive one. I believe their cheapest is $189/window installed.
We also priced out Window Wizards. I wouldn't waste your time with them... they only carry Andersen, and even though they offer Buy 2, Get 1 Free, they were a FORTUNE!
We used Window Wizards, but they were the cheapest we found.
We needed special windows because of our association, so they were a little more expensive that the regular windows because of that. It ended up being $2,400 for 5 windows. We have a three-light window in the front that is massive and has 2 sliders, a large single slider, two casement windows that are almost floor to ceiling and a small slider the in bathroom that needed tempered glass.
The price includes removal, installation and screens.
my parents had the same experience with window wizards.
catalina windows in stratford offered my parents a good price. they've been slowing replacing windows for years.
