Does any have the Chicco KeyFit 30 in Romantic? I haven't seen it in any retail stores in the area and 1/2 the places I found it online seem to be out of stock or it is on backorder. I am not purchasing it just yet, unless I see a really good deal on it. If you have this car seat, where did you purchase it from? If you purchased your car seat online where did you get if from? TIA.
Re: KeyFit 30 Romantic
I purchased the KeyFit 30 Adventure (Green) from Albee Baby (www.albeebaby.com). At the time we purchased the KeyFit, the site had the best deal. You won't be dissapointed with the travel system.
I know this is the huge debate but...
everyone I know who has the Chicco KeyFit wishes they had gone with the Graco. Their car seat is a ton heavier than than the graco. I have loved my graco car seat and metrolite stroller.
I have the metropolitan print in some of the stuff and ionic print in others. ?
My parents bought us the Chicco Keyfit in the green color. We just bought it at Babies R Us.?
As far as chicco vs. graco, I went to BRU and literally pulled out every stoller they had and pushed them around, compared the carseats, folded and unfolded the stollers, etc. I really like the chicco one the best, and thinks it folds up nice and small and handles well. The carseat is a bit heavier, but I figure by the time it is super heavy, I won't really be lugging the kid around in that anyway.?
I concur with everything that Kim said. When I road tested the Graco stroller vs the Chicco, I thought the handlebar was higher on the Chicco. For me that was the deciding straw. I'm 6ft & my DH is 6ft6in, so we needed a stroller that wasn't short. Also, by the time C was nearly 8mos, I was no longer pulling the carseat around anyway. We upgraded to the Britax & my DH used the Chicco for a bit until C was to heavy for it. He just left the carseat in his truck like the Britax seat. It was easier to leave the seat in & get C out, especially for my back. We still use the stroller, even though it takes up the majority of my Civic trunk. I too like how it folds by using one-hand.
