OKC people--? for ya

I'm driving up to Kansas on Friday and will be passing through OKC around lunch time. ?Any suggestions for lunch (or breakfast!) that are fairly easy to get to off of I-35? TIA!

  • Bricktown is right off 35 in the downtown area and there are tons of places depends on what you are int he mood for. There is a place called Bricktown Burgers that has AMAZING burgers, there is BBQ at Earl's Rib Palace, Toby Keith's I Love this Bar and Grill which has a big patio on the riverwalk. If you want something a little nicer there is a restaurant called Nonna's that is really good that is European and super yummy or the Mantel but I would have to make sure it is open for lunch. You can find out more about the restaurants in bricktown at http://www.welcometobricktown.com/. HTH.
  • it's not right off the highway, but if you can get to a hideaway pizza, it is the best!  I think there are two in OKC now!  YUMMY...makes me want to go to OKC just thinking about it!

  • Bricktown's your best bet for variety.  Coach's and Zio's are two of my faves.

Ditto!!  I don't know if they serve the Stillwater crust in Norman, but if they do, you have to get that!  It makes the pizza.

What's the Stillwater crust?  I've only been to Norman and OKC locations.

Another option for you that is right on I-35 in Norman is Ted's Cafe Escondido.  It's tex-mex.  Best homemade flour tortillas ever.

Most of the places that I have to eat at when I'm home are not on I-35, but I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

  • I was going to suggest Toby Keith's place. Super easy to get to from 35. DH always wants to go there for their meatloaf, which really is freaking amazingly delicious.

  • Too bad Eischen's isn't near I-35. Best.Fried.Chicken.Ever.It's better than Babe's. Yes, I said it.
  • Another vote for Teds... seriously the best Mexican food.  Not only do they bring you chips and salsa to the table... also complimentary queso!  And at the end of your awesome meal, A FREE SOAPAPILLA!!  Man, I wish it wasn't 3 weeks before I was headed to OKC!!
  • Wow, I have some thinking to do tonight. ?Thanks for all the suggestions!
