Couples Therapy/Counseling

Do any of you have any good recommendations for a good licensed couple's therapist or counselor?  I appreciate any help you can give me.

Re: Couples Therapy/Counseling

  • I should add that it would optimal if the person was located in the Dallas/North Dallas area.
  • The counselor I saw when I went thru my divorce was great and really helped me a ton, but she is located in Euless. That might be to far for you. If you are interested in her info, let me know.?

I should probably add that this isn't for me! But I do appreciate the info.
  • Not sure if this is for you or for someone else, but my first suggestion would be to check your insurance to see if counseling sessions are covered at all.  If they are, check out the dr's that are covered and maybe look for specific rec's for one of those?  Another thing I would suggest would be if you have a church you attend to call and ask for rec's from them.  Many pastors counsel as well and if they don't they will likely know someone that holds similar beliefs to you that they can recommend.  Good luck!
  • I just read your response to Kim's post.  Glad to hear it's not for you and Steven!

If finances are an issue, I would suggest looking into the UTSW family studies clinic - they are a training program but have great therapists.
