Can someone please explain to me....

Why I am almost 7 months post-partum, lost all my baby weight within a month of giving birth (though I am still way overweight!) and my pre-pg jeans STILL don't fit?!? ?I mean, they are not even close to fitting. ?So depressing. ?Ugh.

?

Re: Can someone please explain to me....

  • So much of your body shifts around, so while your weight may be the same (or even less), your body shape may be different enough that the previous size won't fit. You want to talk depressing . . . how about pulling out your maternity clothes for your next pregnancy to find that those don't fit?!

Talk about a kick in the kidneys from Mother Nature, huh?

  • That sucks. I'm sorry :( Is it possible you have extra skin?? Skin doesn't weigh much, but it SURE takes up a whole lotta room and can make you 1-2 sizes bigger than you're supposed to be.

  • Because your body needs to expand to hold all the extra love you have for your little guy!  :o).

  • I can only fit into 1 pair of my pre-preg jeans - and honestly, they are not comfy on the hips...I really need to go shopping for clothing for myself, because I can tell my body shape has totally changed...

Good answer! I don't know though...bodies suck sometimes! In my case, all the time.

  • Oh good God I know what you mean, well sorta!  I am no wheres near my pp weight, but it has shifted so much!  So much so that it's hindering my healing!  Why oh why did my fat have to relocate???  Weight Watchers here I come!
  • Booooooo.  Sounds like a good reason to go shopping, though!  ;-)
  • Ugh how frustrating!!! I think you need to go shopping now :)
  • Because of the laxity created through your midsection and hips in the muscles, you do have to work out to regain your shape and work the muscles back to where they were before.
