Accupuncture

Has anyone had it done?  I have an appt next week.  I am going to try and have my cycles regulated and am nervous.  MH has done it before for months and says that it isn't painful that it is relaxing, but the thought of needles being poked in me makes me nervous not relaxed.  Tell me I'll be ok...

Re: Accupuncture

  • I've had laser accupuncture but not the kind with the needles.  I know a lot of women that have gone for infertility and to regulate their cycles and had a lot of success with it.  From what they have said, it is not bad at all.

  • My Dad's had it a few times (obviously not for cycle reasons) and has said it's not bad.  (He was REALLY skeptical but has done a 180 on it!)

I'm curious to see what you say... someone on the H&F board suggested it for menstrual pain.

I'll let you know, my first appt. is Monday.  I didn't ask where exactly they put the needles though, eek!  Indifferent

  • It's all about pressure points, as I understand it.  So chances are, they won't be sticking them directly near your hoo-hah if that's what you're trying to help. Wink LOL

I have no idea...I dont want her to be poking me anywhere down there.

  • Hehe...I wouldn't worry about your hoo ha.  :)

I had it done for my migraines and it wasn't horrible.  The trick is to just relax.  The guy who did mine did something w/electricity too and I think I let him put it too high, so I had a hard time w/it.  I know lots of people who like it though.

Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • I'm deathly afraid of needles and when we were on the cruise last year they had a trial at the spa...well I did it and it was not bad at all!  The needles they used were paper thin.
