We are UNdiagnosed!

Sooooo, I think everyone knows that we've been TTC forever, well 29 cycles if you're counting.  We saw the RE this morning for our 2nd SA results (semen analysis).  And we are basically almost within normal range now!!! The count is slightly low at 33 mil, but everything else is completely normal!!!

Once again I cried in her office, but this time it was tears of joy!  DH actually got a little choked up too :)

I have been so scared that we wouldn't ever be able to get pregnant, but hearing this today gives me sooo much hope.  She told us to try 6 mos on our own and if we really want to, we can do an IUI, but she said "You guys don't need me anymore" The greatest words ever.

Sorry this is so long, but I am sooooo freaking ecstatic and happy today, I am jumping out of my skin.  I just feel one step closer to a baby in my arms!

  • That's great news!

Is there a reason she wants to wait 6 months before pursuing other options?   You have been TTC for over 2 years, right?  Or are you guys wanting to hold off on any treatment?

But hooray for a better SA!

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

We have been trying for over 2 years, yes. The biggest reason the SA is so much better, is that DH has lost a lot of weight.  She really thinks that since in the last 5 mos it has improved so much, that it will get better from here.  She doesn't think we'll need further treatment.  So for now we'll try on our own, and see what happens...

  • Awesome!  Congrats to your DH for losing weight!  MH needs to get on that too.  I wonder if that has anything to do with his bad SAs.

    GL!

    GL!

I guess your fat cells hold estrogen, so with the loss of weight/fat, the estrogen level goes down and the testosterone levels increase.  Apparently its the excess estrogen that messes everything up.  It definitely made sense.
