Coming to Dallas

Hey Ladies,

I am coming to Dallas on Sunday for a work conference Monday-Friday.  I will have all day Sunday and evenings free during the week.  We will be staying in a nice hotel right downtown.  Any suggestions or reccomendations of fun places to go?  Places to eat?  Shopping?  Golfing?  Anything that I can't miss on my first trip to Dallas?

 I appreciate any input.  Thanks!

Re: Coming to Dallas

  • If you are into museums, the Nasher Sculpture Center is awesome and so is the 6th Floor Museum (JFK). Also the King Tut exhibit is still going on at the Dallas Museum of Art. Any of those would be good sunday activities and they are all downtown. For shopping I would head to Northpark Mall or West Village. West Village is closer to downtown but it's all outdoors so I guess that would depend on the weather.Since it's your first trip to Dallas I'm going to say that you HAVE to eat some good Tex-Mex... two of my favorites are Matt's Rancho Martinez and Monica's Aca y Alla (this one is downtown, main st.)

I hope you have a great trip!

  • Thanks for the suggestions!  I think we might try the museum on Sunday and will definately need to try some Tex-Mex.  Smile
