Anyone ever been to Dominican Republic?  Where did you stay?  We want to go at the end of May, but can't decide where to stay.

    we stayed in PUnta Cana at Iberostar Bavaro...AMAZING resort, great food, pools, beach, entertainement. It was all inclusive.

    Punta Cana is one of my favorite destinations.  We have been there 3 times & loved it each time.  The beaches & the water are wonderful.  If you are looking to explore a little bit and for something on a budget, yet still nice & clean the Occidental is a good choice because it is pretty much the only resort that you can walk right off the resort & into town.  I stayed at the Riu Palace Punta Cana for my honeymoon & that was also very nice.  If you are looking for something really nice the Excellence or one of the Majestic properties are great.  Have fun :-)

    We stayed at the Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana for our honeymoon. The resort and beach were goregous and it was such a relaxing experience.  It is a bit on the expensive side but definately worth the cost. The restaurants at the resort were all very good and there was plenty of variety.  It is a family resort so if your trying to avoid kids look into the royal service area.  There is a private pool and beach area for royal serice and it is on the complete opposite side of the resort from the family area.

    We stayed at the Excellence Punta Cana; All Inclusive, Adults Only.  It was amazing!  Several Restaurants to choose from, wonderful service.

    We stayed in the Excellence Club, which provides access to the Excellence Club (Private Bar, Snacks, Internet Access) and seperate pool area.

    I haven't been there yet, but in August we will be staying at the Excellence Punta Cana.
