So How was Everyone's Weekend?

Here in NY the weekend was gorgeous! What was it like where you are and what did you do?

Re: So How was Everyone's Weekend?

  • Friday night we had a poker tournament (the last of a 12 week friday night series). we both finished out of the money. :(

Saturday was absolutely gorgeous! It was in the mid 80s. Totally unseasonable weather for Upstate NY! We drove up to Lake George (where we met and spent our first weekend together). We waded in the water a little bit and drove around a bit. We also played mini golf (where I scored 80 on a par 45 course!! ?I have horrible hand eye coordination)

Then we went to Malta to the drive in. We saw "17 Again" (it was pretty good) and "Observe and Report" (it was ok too, but kinda weird)

Sunday we tried to see if we could spot Angelina Jolie who was filming her new movie "Salt" in the Albany area. We saw the cars on the ramps they had blocked off (filming some kind of chase scene) but we were too far away to get any kind of good look at anything.

We also went for lunch/dinner (it was 3pm) and then did groceries. We got a nice chunk of housework done too. And then I watched the last episode of "Last Cake Standing"

Today I came to work with DH. I sit in the back corner of the cafeteria (near the only electrical socket that works) and hang out on the net! We're going to picnic in the park for lunch (they have all kind of food vendor carts set up on the edge of the park). ?

  • Jenny ya'lls weekend sounds FAB!!! Have fun on ya'lls picnic in the park!! That'll be soo much fun!!

This weekend I worked mainly.  Friday it night it POURED rain and all the streets were flooded AGAIN on my way home.  Saturday DH and I woke up early and went to an estate sale and then I worked all day, went home and made spinach dip for my SIL baby shower. At 1:30 a.m. DH and I went and kidnapped his families dog so she could spend the night with us :)  (we miss having a dog around cause we can't have any at our place) Sunday was my SIL baby shower, it went pretty well, but she still has a LOT of stuff that she needs.  After the shower my mom and I went and picked up our pictures from our photogs!!!! WOOHOOO I"m sooo glad to have all of that over and done with!!! :)

  • It was great...plenty of sunshine and warmth! Big Smile

Friday night, I drove upstate to my parent's, had dinner and them my mom and I went shopping for clothes for the honeymoon (I posted a few of the pieces I bought on my blog).  Saturday, I went to my HS BF's baby shower (she was shocked!) and then went to visit my Grandmother.  She's on oxygen full-time and is still not doing well but, at least she is moving around a bit more.  Then, drove back home and had a relaxing night with DH.

Yesterday, DH and I took a walk around town, went to the library's book sale, got a soft serve cone and enjoyed the people watching and the weather!  A little later, we went grocery shopping and stocked up for the week then, went to my IL's for dinner. I got a few more thank you notes written last night and can finally see the end in sight!

  • Friday I got off work and Kelsey wanted to go swimming so we went up the the pool and put our feet in because it is still way TO cold. Dh ordered a pizza and we watched kelsey splash around on the stairs of the pool for a while.

Sat morning...we got up way to early and I found our our A/C unit is bad and has to be replaced...joy o joy. Then we went to wal mart to get some pool stuff and a few groceries. Then came back went swimming in the freezing cold water. Then we cooked out with FIL and relaxed pretty much

Sunday- woke up way to early again and headed to grocery store w/ my weekly coupons. When I got back Dh and I decided to invite his mom over for dinner since it was her birthday. So I baked a cake really quick and we were off to the pool again. (can you tell my daughter likes the pool). When we came inside everyone took a long long nap then his mom and her crew showed up for dinner...they didnt leave until 8 or so and kelsey was so hyper she didnt calm down until 10. It was dreadful going to sleep last night w/ no AC. The thermosat in our room was reading 94 when we were trying to go to sleep...not good!! Dh says we will sleep outside tonight....lol Im not sure if I am up for that!

  • Per the usual we didn't do anything on Friday.  Saturday DH got up at the a*s crack of dawn to go to work.  I went up to see my aunt, uncle and my sister (she stayed with them after her surgery on Wednesday).  I thought about waiting for DH, but glad I didn't because he wound up working late.  I had a good time with my aunt and sister at the pool, got a little red, but nothing major (although how pale I am it always looks major).  I did wear sunscreen and a hat, I just missed spots apparently.  After the pool we all went to eat lunch and had a great time.  My uncle is doing very well, but still has trouble remembering things, and that worries him.  Sunday DH and I got up early (830ish, for some reason I have a hard time sleeping past 8am anymore) and did the grocery shopping.  I cut DH's hair and spent most of the rest of the day in the kitchen cooking (I make ziti for dinner tonight, homemade chicken salad, cinnimon buns, and more).
  • Friday - pretty rainy, and I already had all of my paperwork done so I just had dinner & watched movies before going to bed

Saturday - fairly pretty day, I spent it running errands, cleaning the house, and making dinner for DH...his flight got in 30 mins. early, and it was great to finally have him back home!

Sunday - SLEPT IN!  We were a little lazy in the AM, but then we went to the park with our dog & played around, came home and made out this week's menu and got all the stuff at the grocery store...then we went out to eat at Cheddar's and set up a budget...if we stick with it, we will be CC debt free in 6 months, and 100% debt free (student loans, car, etc) in less than 6 years. It may sound like a long time, but honestly I thought it would be longer, so I'm pretty excited!!!!!

  • Glad to hear everyone's weekend was great!

Friday I worked then joined up with some friends for happy hour and a trip to the Castle (adult store) to buy some gifts for our bachelorette friend.  Saturday I volunteered at a free clinic for migrant laborers during the day.  That night was one of my BM's bachelorette parties, and we had a great time!  There was dinner, then some sexy gifts and games at the hotel before clubbing in the hot area of Seattle.  Yesterday I took it easy and did some shopping and continued apartment hunting...

  • Good morning!  Saturday we adopted a dog, she is an 11 month old golden retriever mix.  She is so adorable!  She still had to be spayed though so I get to pick her up today after work.  We already have one Golden so hopefully she will be just as good as him.  Other than that we did some shopping for the house and had lunch with my family.   Just a great weekend hanging out with my hubby :)
  • The weather here was beautiful.  It was soo warm and the sun shined the WHOLE weekend.

Friday -> we went to my 6 year old cousins softball game.  the coach of the opposite team was crabby and made our pitcher cry.  and then they cheated us out of 2 runs and the umpire let the other coach talk crap to our coach because it was 9 o'clock and we were ok with going home with a tie rather then playing ANOTHER inning.  I mean come on... they are 6.

Saturday-> i worked all morning and afternoon.  when i got home DH and I packed ALOT.  We are almost done, thankfully.

Sunday-> i was finally able to sleep in (until 10 o'clock)!  It was much needed.  DH got home from work and went straight to bed so I got up and did some more packing.  And then last night we went to his parents house for dinner.  His brother was on leave from Camp Pendleton and his grandma was in from Colorado.
