Re: In Honor Of Our Anniversaries
1 - How did you choose your attendants? I wanted people from every major part of my life. So I picked my sister, my high school best friend (who is still my best friend), my elementary school best friend/college roommate, my closest law school friend, and MH's sister.
2 - How did your husband choose his? He wanted his dad to be his best man, then he had two brothers to be in the wedding. He also chose his two best friends from high school.
3 - Looking back, do you or your husband wish the attendants had been different? definitely not. We're both happy with who we picked.
4 - What was the best part of your wedding day? Seeing MH's face as I came down the aisle with my dad...and the few minutes we had alone in the car on our way to the reception.
5 - What was the worst part? The fact that my mom refused to speak to me.
6 - If you could go back, would you have the same type of wedding or would you have done something smaller/bigger? I think I would do the same thing over again. We have the best memories with MH's dad and brother from that day and if they hadn't been such a big part of the day I think we would have regretted it!
1 - How did you choose your attendants? It was easy... just my closest friends
2 - How did your husband choose his? Same way.
3 - Looking back, do you or your husband wish the attendants had been different? Nope.
4 - What was the best part of your wedding day? Um... probably the entire ceremony was my favorite
5 - What was the worst part? I can't really say. There were no bad parts of my day
6 - If you could go back, would you have the same type of wedding or would you have done something smaller/bigger? I would do it the same. I thought the size of our wedding was perfect for us!
1 - How did you choose your attendants? I pretty much knew who I wanted to have stand up for a long time. It was a mix of relatives and friends.
2 - How did your husband choose his? They were all his friends except for my brothers (which were a must to stand up) and one of his cousins that asked him to be in his wedding
3 - Looking back, do you or your husband wish the attendants had been different? I wish that I didn't choose one person (that's all I am going to say)
4 - What was the best part of your wedding day? Seeing him for the first time that day when I was walking down the aisle w/ my dad
5 - What was the worst part? When the lights turned on because the reception was officially over
6 - If you could go back, would you have the same type of wedding or would you have done something smaller/bigger? I would have done the same thing but would have chose a different photog and florist
A Wedding Poll!
1 - How did you choose your attendants? My MOH was my best friend from high school, one was another friend from high school and the other one was my best friend that lived near my grandparents
2 - How did your husband choose his? His best man was his cousin he was very close to, one was his best friend from high school, and the other was another cousin who was kinda our surrogate kid the past few years
3 - Looking back, do you or your husband wish the attendants had been different? nope
4 - What was the best part of your wedding day? so many things, the weather was perfect, lots of family we hadn't seen in a long time came, holding back tears as we read our vows, sneaking off every now and then to just have a moment to ourselves, everything was perfect....i've never felt so in love before it was really magical.
5 - What was the worst part? we forgot about the guest book
6 - If you could go back, would you have the same type of wedding or would you have done something smaller/bigger? it would definitly be the same...I'd probably let MH help with decisions more
1 - How did you choose your attendants? My sister, my best friend/college roomate, my best friend and my two SILs
2 - How did your husband choose his? His brothers, my brother and his cousin
3 - Looking back, do you or your husband wish the attendants had been different? Um, yes, I'll just leave it at that
4 - What was the best part of your wedding day? That's tough, probably walking down the aisle, our first dance and singing Sweet Caroline with my friends
5 - What was the worst part? A couple of days before there was a huge blowup over children at the wedding, oh and my SIL getting plastered, making a fool of herself and leaving with my BIL before the cake was served, I'm still pissed about it to this day.
6 - If you could go back, would you have the same type of wedding or would you have done something smaller/bigger? I loved my wedding day, everything about it but I do sometimes wish we'd stuck with the destination wedding, I *think* it may have a little less stressful.
1 - How did you choose your attendants? My bff was my maid of honor, then other close friends that i grew up with since i have no siblings and 2 of my cousins.
2 - How did your husband choose his? His sister was the best woman. His cousins and one of my cousins stood up for him.
3 - Looking back, do you or your husband wish the attendants had been different? i do wish i would have had 1 less girl. (jen im glad to see im not the only one
4 - What was the best part of your wedding day? Seeing Dh of course. The whole day was the best though.
5 - What was the worst part? The one troublesome attendant as well as i slipped when taking pics, so embarassing!
6 - If you could go back, would you have the same type of wedding or would you have done something smaller/bigger? while i loved my wedding i think it would have been awesome to have a destination wedding.
1 - How did you choose your attendants? I wanted people I could trust, and whom I thought would be around for our 25th wedding anniversary because they were true friends.
2 - How did your husband choose his? he knew his uncle would be his best man, and then I think the friend he'd known longest.
3 - Looking back, do you or your husband wish the attendants had been different? I wish I hadn't had the 2nd MOH (she's one of those friends who drives me nuts now and its become very clear she doesn't get me.) I'm no longer friends with the "Personal Attendant" or the Bridal Consultant who did my makeup. MH's friendships have changed a little and he's said he probably would've had a different groomsman and possibly ushers (maybe one of the ushers be a groomsman, etc.)
4 - What was the best part of your wedding day? all of it. Having the girls with me that morning, my "boys" coming up to see me, Greg coming up to see me and just the two of us having a few moments together. The reception was good and the one hiccup gave us a sweet moment when we snuck off for a few minutes.
5 - What was the worst part? My sister was up in my bridal suite. I was pissed, but my girls took care of it quickly. The DJ really irritated me - I'd gone to get some shots and as I walked back into the ballroom, she announced a mother/son dance. I nearly dropped the tray of shots because that wasn't supposed to be "announced." My family turned and looked at me like "You're not doing anything with dad?"
6 - If you could go back, would you have the same type of wedding or would you have done something smaller/bigger? I liked what we had. I wish I would've found a way to duct tape my sister, her baby's daddy, and her step-daughter up so they didn't make it. (Let's see, my sister kept "reminding me" to wish baby's daddy a happy bday. Her step-daughter puked all over the bathroom. My mom did nothing but walk around carrying her baby all night.)
1 - How did you choose your attendants? I chose my sister, 2 best friends from college, and MH's sister
2 - How did your husband choose his? He chose his good friend since grade school, a good college friend, my brother, and MH's brother
3 - Looking back, do you or your husband wish the attendants had been different? Not different but MH wishes he had chosen a different person to be his best man
4 - What was the best part of your wedding day? Besides the gorgeous day we had I would say when MH and I saw each other before the ceremony. It was nice to have a moment together ahead of time.
5 - What was the worst part? Besides MH acting like the nervous bride I think the worst thing that happened was that the reception hall forgot to put out our toasting flutes.
6 - If you could go back, would you have the same type of wedding or would you have done something smaller/bigger? I would have the same type of wedding. It was just the right size. The only thing I would have done was chosen a different photographer and videographer had I known what a pain they would have been to work with after the wedding.
1 - How did you choose your attendants? Some were obvious, like our siblings. Others we chose people who have been a big part of our lives.
2 - How did your husband choose his? See above. I answered for both of us.
3 - Looking back, do you or your husband wish the attendants had been different? Yes, 3 of them we wish were different.
4 - What was the best part of your wedding day? Seeing Blair's face when I walked up the aisle.
5 - What was the worst part? The limo almost forgetting us.
6 - If you could go back, would you have the same type of wedding or would you have done something smaller/bigger? Would have done the same thing. It really was a perfect day.
1 - How did you choose your attendants? My three sisters, his two sisters and my best friend of 15 years
2 - How did your husband choose his? Mostly he had his close friends, and his BIL and my BIL (my sisters H)
3 - Looking back, do you or your husband wish the attendants had been different? I think he does, I don't
4 - What was the best part of your wedding day? spending time with my friends and family
5 - What was the worst part? MH having too much to drink, it didn't make for a very romantic wedding night
6 - If you could go back, would you have the same type of wedding or would you have done something smaller/bigger? I really liked my wedding, I would have kept it the same
