how do you all feel about the swine flu??
Re: how do you all feel about the swine flu??
eeh...I think the media creates a panic comparing it to the pandemic in the early 1900's. Medicine is more advanced now.
However, I am a little nervous about flying on Friday. I didn't care that much until people on a cruise board I was researching were freaking out about flying. I am going to just try and wash/sanitize my hands a lot.
I think it's scary but I'm not going to stop living my life. I'll continue to do what I usually do unless anything changes for the worse. I wash my hands so much in a day because of the baby. I don't think I'll be sporting a face mask any time soon.
My next door neighbors came back from Mexico after Easter. 3 out of the 4 people caught something on the plane ride home - some lady sitting behind them was hacking the whole time. The 12 yr old daughter had a 103 degree fever for a couple of days along with coughing, sore throat. The only one that didn't get sick was the 3 yr old. They went to the Dr and was told it was just a virus. They are all better now. The symptoms they had sure sounded like swine flu. My neighbor is also a school teacher and I believe she went to school for one day and had to call out 3 days. That could be bad.
