**Kristi** Re: Book recs

How are the girls doing? I can't believe you are so far along! In your siggy pic you look WONDERFUL!

As for the books I've been reading. Lets see... A lot of these recs I got from the NBC so if you go on that board at all you probably have heard of all of these. The Time Travelers Wife was awesome! I've also been reading a bunch of Young Adult (not sure if you're into that or not) but if so, check out Sarah Dessen. The Truth About Forever and Just Listen are my favorites. Another author/series that I like is Megan McCafferty. The first book is Sloppy Firsts. The 5th and final book just came out a week ago. I've only read the first one but I have the 2nd one at home and I LOVED the first one. I'm sure I'll like the rest of the series.

But, I've saved the best for last. I'm currently in the middle of a series (its a LONG series. 7 books in all (the 7th is coming out in Sept.) and the books range from 750-1100 pages long). Its called  Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Its not at all my normal Genre but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this series. Its about a 28 yr. old woman named Claire living in 1945 who ends up time traveling back to 1743. She falls in love Jamie and it just is a story about their love and what they go through in 1743. SO, SO, amazing!!!

Have you read anything good lately?

  • I just saw this.  I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner.  I haven't read any of them.  I recently read The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield.  That was great.  I will have to check out the ones in your post.  They all sound good.
