i just had a 20-minute convo with the ex
and it was quite amicable and entertaining. how bizarre.
the teen managed to hurt her ankle again in p.e. yesterday, and so they're at the doctor's office having it checked out. while waiting for the doc, he decided to call me and let me know that she wasn't in school for the day.
and then it turned into an actual conversation, updating each other on stuff about friends, relatives, etc. i was really surprised to actually enjoy a phone call with the man, after years of dreading even the sound of his voice.
weird and cool at the same time.
