Thanks so much for posting this - what a great article! DH and I were just looking up the nutritional info for Chili's a few weeks ago because we had a gift card and it was UNREAL - I said I was going ot at least order from the kids menu to get smaller portions and I almost fell over looking at the info on the kid's portion of the chicken fingers!
Oh - and just wanted to share that at the end of that article there are some great links and I really liked this one with the USDA's daily recs for kids in different age groups - it made me realize that I've never actually looked up the info and it's helpful to see!
That USDA link actually reminds me of a food guide pyramid for kids that I have at work. I used to put it out every year around National Nutrition Month because it was a nice handout.
Oooh - is it a file that you could email? Or I guess I could just search/google for it? I'm trying to focus even more right now on Amelia's food because she doesn't eat a ton and I want to make sure she's at least getting the right portions for her age, etc.
Ok I found a copy but its a little hard to see...its the image in this article and you can click on the image to enlarge. The version I have is just like it...but obviously a little easier to read!!
