Hello! Has anyone ever been to Cape May Zoo?

I'm going on Sunday, and wondering if it's big...I'm on the webpage, but not really getting alot of info.  How much is the admission?  Is there a snack bar?  Is it appropriate/fun for a 2.5 year old?  TIA for the info!

Re: Hello! Has anyone ever been to Cape May Zoo?

  • I love the Cape May Zoo and it is FREE. Not sure if there is a snack bar but you can bring your own snacks/food and eat on the picnic benches or down by the water. And it is great for a 2.5 year old! Have fun!

  • I was just there last week.  They accept donations if you would like to contribute.  If you don't, then it's free.  It's great for toddlers.  Elijah had a good time.  They do have a snack bar outside the entrance, or like pp said you can bring your own lunch/snacks and there are picnic tables you can eat at.  There's also a nice playground to play on too.  Have fun!
  • Yes, love it!!!!
  • I was just there on Sunday.. it;s HUGE for a free zoo!!!..  Take your own food and drinks with you in a cooler to save some money.. You can bring drinks in with you but no food!! They charge $2.50 for a bottle of water, soda or iced tea!!!!.. There is snack bar outside the entrance...

The zoo would be great for a 2.5 yr old... They also have a small train that takes you for a small ride and they also have a playground area for the kids!!..

     Have a great time!!

  • My boys will be two in July and absolutely love it there!! We are amazed that it's free (we do give a donation, though) considering the fee for the Philadelphia Zoo (I know it's bigger, but still!)

    Have fun!!

  • I drove by it today on my way to a Dept. of Health meeting, fun times.  I believe this sunday they are having a festival of some sort also.  Hopefully you get to hear the lion roar.  He has some amazing lungs.
