We are looking into going camping and we are a pretty large group. We also dont want to travel too far but we would like a nice place to camp that is somewhat local.
Any suggestions??
Re: Camping
My coworker (who lives in Riverside too actually) recommend the state park in Chino Hills....cant remember the name but she said it was pretty good.
We normally go to San Onofre so not sure if thats too far for you
Something local hmmm... Hurkey Creek in Idlywild can accomodate large groups. It's not my favorite place to camp but it considering what you are looking for it might work.
I would consider it local but I didn't recommend it because it's hard with large groups especially this time of year. This is the best month to go with all the wildflowers and the weather being nice. It's crazy busy.
Also, it is considered a primative site because you have to bring in all your water. No showers and they only have vault toliets. Alot of people like their showers.
