My day= arrrgh!

so, lately I have been feeling like I am or need to slow down a bit.  As some of you may remember my co-teacher recently had a baby.  She had a long difficult pregnancy, and I covered for her a lot.  Now she is back at work, and of course her head is not completely in the game, so I am still doing  a lot.  Now she is sick and the baby is sick and she is exhausted, but also went home early yesterday and didn't come in at all today.  She didn't leave me her lesson plan grrrr.  Obviously I know she isn't sick on purpose-but I can still be irrationaly annoyed- right?

today on top of her being out, our part time assistant being out, and one teacher leaving early, the water got cut to the building for about an hour.  I almost thought we would close (which would have been awsome).  this lack of water caused total chaos in a building filled with young children.  Not to mention pregnant me needed to pee.

I think I am frustrated because I feel like I should be getting a chance to take it a little easy- not be doing three people's work.  ok, that's all.  I think it is all out now.  I'm ordering dinner :)  I wish I was drinking a huge glass of red wine.

Re: My day= arrrgh!

  • tova- I definitely think you deserve to have some slack.  I would be irritated as well, even if it doesn't seem rational.

Drinks Take one of these and post in the morning.

  • You're allowed to vent! I can't imagine how you're feeling. I remember when your co-teacher was preggers and out all the time and you picked up the slack...someone needs to do the same for you. Have a glass of cranberry juice ans pretend it's red wine! =)

  • thanks ladies.
  • Sounds like you need a good massage, some yummy pasta, and chocolate chip cookies, because after that kind of crappy day, you deserve indulgence!

What Rebekah said, word for word! Hope your night was better than your day! And hopefully, you get to relax this weekend.

  • I agree with everyone here.  Also, I think it's fair to have a heart to heart with your co-teacher and let her know exactly what you need from her for the rest of the year.  Of course, none of this is her fault but it seems like if you talk to her like you understand what she's going through, she might be able to figure out a way to do more.
