What are you getting your mom's/MIL's?
I am getting my mom a membership to Costco. For MIL, I was thinking of sending her a dozen chocolate covered strawberries from Edible Arrangements and then getting her something else small. What do you think?
Re: Mothers Day gifts
We bought my mom some things for her kitchen. She is on this kick of getting kitchenaid appliances in red and etc so we bought her some red kitchen aid mixing bowls and trays. Along with a lotion set from VS and i bought her some BE makeup she wanted.
MIL was begging for new luggage for our trip in september so we went in with SIL on a set for her.
I think we are going to get my MIL flowers for her garden. She loves flowers and this way, she get's more use out of them when compared to buying a bouquet.
For my mom, probably the same thing. She never wants anything and pretty much has everything. I may print a picture of David for her and put that in a nice frame too. Time is running out.
For my Mom, I got her a new Michelle watchband. She loves this watch and you can change out the watch bands. She saw one that she really wanted so I picked it up for her.
For MIL, not sure. That's completely on Blair. I reminded him again yesterday that it is next weekend.
I think that the strawberries and something small for your MIL is a great idea. Does she have any hobbies or something she is really into?
I got my mom a pair of yoga pants she asked for and some DVD's of this guy on the food network she likes.
My MIL i think we are just going to take out to dinner.
Honestly, for MIL I don't know what to do. ?I tried to find her a card the other day and it was so hard. ?I'm sure I'll come up with something between now and Sunday though.?
My mom just got an iPod this weekend SO I'm going to get her an iTunes gift certificate. ?She has everything and dad gets her a rose for every year they've had kids (so this year it will be 32) so I don't like to get her flowers.?
Luckily I don't have to get MIL anything (since MH is really her "brother").
I usually just get my mom a card. All the family goes out to breakfast. We've never done gifts.
????
French, long story short MIL lied to her new husband and said she didn't have any kids (she has 4) so she told him MH (the oldest) was her youngest brother, the next one doesn't have anything to do with her so he's nobody, then the next one is a student of hers she helps out, and the other one died as a baby so he has no clue about that one either. One word describes her WHACKO!
He has his moments where he is hurt, but he is kinda used to her craziness because she's been in and out of his life since he was born (she was going to give him up for adoption until is great-grandmother took him). But there are days that it hurts him, like on Mother's day he will feel bad when we do stuff with my family and his mother doesn't want anything to do with him. She's been married to the guy for about 2 years I think. The crazy thing is you can see her house from ours too! Sometimes I just want to strangle that woman for hurting MH.
I agree.
This made me snort (with a mouthful of water.)
My mom, we'll send a card. We should send flowers, but I just don't want to spend the money. *sigh* We ought to though, so I should bring this up to MH.
MIL - She's been on our case to take her to a Brewers game since last year we mentioned we might get FIL tickets to a game (he's never been to Miller Park). She said "I want to go!" So they've got a sh*tty schedule this year and we can't afford the $$, so we're taking them to a Timber Rattlers game. Not exactly Miller Park, but it's a start.
