Re: **Kristi & Jen**
Kristi-i tried to email you and it came back but to sum it up here. I dont go to the ob/gyn until late july. Its a new doctor so she doesnt know of my situation yet. My PC doctor ordered all the testing and etc for us and arranged for this new dr. Shes been wonderful so far.
Anyways well go in july with Nicks test results. Do you know what type of testing i can expect or anything? I have a feeling clomid is in my future.
They will probably want to do a bunch of bloodwork. Definitely day 3 bloodwork to look at your levels. I also had a saline sonogram and this was done after I ovulated so they could look at the lining of my uterus. And I also had an hcg test done. This was to look at my tubes and determine if they were closed or open. And there were more. I have to look in my notebook, I can't remember the names of them off the top of my head.
I know a lot of women that have taken clomid. I did not, because we have male infertility issues it wouldn't have helped. But the one thing that everyone says is to make sure that your doctor monitors you very closely. If your ob doesn't do that then then you should be seeing an re because they will absolutely be monitoring you. I believe there are only so many cycles you can use clomid so definitely find out how they will monitor you on the drug. My friend is having twins and she took clomid and did iui and they are having twin boys. But you can take it and have timed intercourse (they monitor your cycle through bloodwork I believe). Just make sure you ask all the questions you have. And remember that no question is stupid or not worth asking.
