B&M Monday

Is anyone around today?

My only B&Ms are that I haven't been running in two weeks and I'm having a really hard time getting myself motivated...and our grocery bill was super expensive this week and it caused DH and I to get into an argument on our anniversary.

Re: B&M Monday

  • I dont think its a B&M, but for sure a stresser and worry....so maybe its just a vent.  I feel so overwhelmed and like Im about to crash.  I'm really trying my best to push through the counseling/grieving/court system process regarding my neices death.  In a perfect world it owuld be night to only have that ne thing to deal with in my life.  But, we are also in a sticky moving situation...we are set to move out in about 2 weeks or so, and we had an apt lined up.  Since having my 3rd (and much worse) round of back surgery on Friday we think its best to get a first floor apt, rather than 2nd floor.  And there are other less vital reasons Id like a different apt than the one we are assigned.  I found out today that we can! But, to get it we have to wait until August.  So we would need to move in with the inlaws for a while.  Oh and theres the money thing...I had this surgery once in Jan, once in Feb and once last week-and its gotten more invasive and expensive each time....oh and theres the moving/new apt costs.  So, we are trying to decide today if we will take the 2nd floor already lined up for us this month, or wait until august.  Oh and theres the Swine Flu thing that's making my work day bananas.

I just got off the phone with DH and told him he needs to step up, and I need some stress off my back asap, or its not going to be pretty.

Ok, maybe it was a B&M Confused

  • Missy, that sucks! Sorry you are under so much stress right now. Would moving in with the ILs help with the money stress? Or would that be totally outweighed by the fact that you are , you know. LIVING with your inlaws?

My B&M. I don't understand why people hire makeup artists and then ask to have their makeup done exactly like they do it to themselves every day. Why not just do it yourself then?

I love love love our new car and am so happy we were able to pay cash for it, but I do not love so much that such a huge chunk as taken out of our savings to do it. I am going to be constantly worried about money until it's replenished with tax return and DH freelance checks that are supposedly coming in any day now. I guess that's not really a B&M, I'm just stressing about money and I hate that.

I have to buy a dress to wear to an event tomorrow night. I hate my size and shopping is NOT fun. So I am really dreading it.

  • Yeah, living with the inlaws would help-its just all that comes with it.  Its not miserable or anything, but when that happens they all of sudden think they are entitled to be in every part of our business and that we should do what they say about everything.  I mean I understand some house rules, but thats not what it is-it like they become way to involved.  (we lived with them for about 10 months before we married).  But it would only be for about 3 months so Im sure it cant be too bad.  AND it would help tremendously with money...and DK, it sound slike me and you are similar on the financial paranoid level!  I worry about money every second of the day...Ive got to break that-it keeps me from relaxing and enjoying alot of my day to day life.  It is what it is at some point and as long as we are working toward our goals, thats all we can keep doing.

  • Teething blows!  C is running another fever, most likely has another ear infection.  He started at his new daycare today & poor little guy felt horrible b/c he didn't know anyone, his Mommy left him this morning (I stayed over 45min this morning, trying to get him to warm-up to everyone, but he still cried).  Breaks my heart to see him get all sad.  :(  Now this.  Just called the pedi, to see if we can't be squeezed in tomorrow, w/ all the "swine" flu cases they have to see, I doubt we'll even get in w/ his pedi.

I just want to go home & see my little guy.  :(

  • I am really FED UP with DH's work. Who in their right mind allows for an employee to be a manager over their spouse? I'm beyond fed up b/c said manager is a woman and her husband reports to her AND my DH reports to her. Her husband produces work directly for my DH's team, or produces very little for DH's team. DH's team has tried addressing the matter with the manager and she says ok and then blows it off. My DH would really like to take a specific matter over his manager's head to the GM since this issue affects his paycheck directly, but he knows he'd be on the chopping block once she figured out who went above her head. SOOO SOOO frustrating.
  • I woke up this morning with a stuffy nose and headache. Not sure if it is allergies to something here, or a cold coming on. Either way, it sucks.?

Also, about 1am I heard this huge crash outside our room. I assumed it was this little shelf thing in thse shower, that is held up with suction cups, and didn't get up to investigate. Nope, it was our wedding photo signature mat that was hanging on the wall. The glass was shattered everywhere and the frame is broken :( So, now I have to go over to the Arts and Crafts center and see if they can fix it for me. I would say it was a minor earthquake that caused it (they have itty bitty tremors here all the time) but it was the only picture that fell, so probably not. It was probably just not secure on the hooks, which would be my fault (and the fact that the house has concrete walls which require this special kind of hook that is stupid and fat and doesn't work well!)?
