I don't post much on here, but I had to share my story because it's just so sad, and it has to be one of the worst things that can happen to a mother. My friend was scheduled for her second C-section yesterday. She went into labor 2 days before and a friend took her to the hospital. They checked her vitals, and everything was fine and she was dilated to 4 cm, and then they took out the doppler and they couldn't find the heartbeat. They did it a few times, and still couldn't find it. They sent for a sonogram and they verified that the baby had passed away. She and her husband spent the day holding their precious baby girl. I went to visit them yesterday, and they seem to be okay, but the moment I saw the pictures...I lost it. She left the hospital today with out her baby girl. I am trying to be strong for my friend but it is so hard. So unfair to have this happen to good people. The doctor said that the baby had passed away on Sunday and something went wrong with the wiring between the brain and the heart. She was perfectly healthy, otherwise...her heart just stopped. I never thought I would know someone who had to go through something like this.
Re: The worst news ever...
That is horrible news. I have a close friend this happened to as well and I would never wish this on my worst enemy as I cannot imagine much worse than losing your child at any age. My deepest sympathy for you and your dear friends.
