Just had her cardiac catheter and it only showed minimal blockage in one tiny valve, nothing too major. They didn't have to put in a stent or do angioplasty and she should be A-OK with just meds. After spending a couple of long days in the hospital, they're going to release her to come tonight.
Thank you so much for all of your well wishes this morning!
Re: My mom...
Thanks!
Briley told her if she quits, he'll quit with her. She did it once before, I have faith in her that she can do it again. My dad smoked 2 packs a day. He had a heart attack in his early 30s, quit cold turkey and has never wanted one since. Hopefully he'll be her "inspiration". Hahaha.
That's really great news, Kristy!
GL with the smoking thing.
Great news! I'm glad she's going home.
Good luck with the smoking. Sometimes it takes a scare like this to make someone stop. My grandfather finally quit when he couldn't breathe anymore from emphysema. It took my friend's dad a 2nd battle with lung cancer to stop smoking. It's an evil addiction.
