So I went to get my BC refilled at Walgreens and it turns out DHs insurance doesnt cover BC. Kinda weird but we decided that I will just stop taking it now. Woo Hoo! Let the baby making begin! haha.

  • That's a good way to describe it, a good nervous.  I'm lucky to have a DH that is cool and collected, while I am a worrier.  Good luck.
  • Thanks you too!

  • Congrats Kim.

I just had a thought...please make sure you look carefully at your insurance before you TTC and see if & how much of prenatal care it covers.  Just a good idea since they don't cover BC.

  • wow, that is a huge change!  congrats and good luck Kim!!!
  • Congrats!  That's good news.  I would do what Kim suggested, just to be safe.  But for some reason some insurance companies still don't like to cover BC unless the woman needs it "for a medical reason" while they have no problem covering the pregnancy and other things.  Oh, well I guess some insurance companies are still lame, but it all ended well so that's what matters!  Good luck TTC, I'm right there with you on TTC now!
  • thanks ladies!!

kelly- thats great! good luck to you too!

jen- we looked into the benefit for maternity with his insurance and everything is covered except the birth control. dh called on it and they said they would rather cover kids then womans birth control. i guess it makes sense in the big picture. so its exciting for us.
