Mother's Day craft ideas

I teach Sunday School at my church and am looking for a Mother's Day craft/activity to do with my class this Sunday.  I teach 2nd and 3rd grade and only have 3 students.  Any ideas that aren't too time consuming but will be appreciated by moms?

Thanks!

Re: Mother's Day craft ideas

  • What about making a small poster with reasons why they love their Mom?  I've seen examples of this and some of the kids write funny stuff...like "I love my mom because she makes good Mac and Cheese" It was really cute!
  • Flower pots that the children paint. They can even plant the seeds to "help" mom take care of the plant and watch it grow. Handprint keepsakes. I have a recipe for the dough so its really cheap. Let me know if you want it. The kids can paint it and engrave it with whatever they want. My FS is making one for his bio mom this week. Have them write on little pieces of paper what they love about mom, what they are grateful for, favorite memories, etc. and then out them in a special box they have decorated. That's all I can think of now. Have fun!
