Good morning!! I grew up in Mechanicsburg but Ive since moved to the 'burbs of Philly so Im never on the Central PA nest board. I was thinking of taking my mom out for afternoon tea to celebrate mother's day and Im wondering if any of these places exist in the Harrisburg area (west shore preferrable)? If there are any that are not totally taken over by the eccentric red hat ladies that would also be preferrable! Thanks so much. Im so out of the loop now that I no longer live there.

Re: Afternoon Tea place??
I am not sure if there are still openings, but the cat rescue I am volunteering with is having a tea on Mother's Day. It is at the Iris Club in Lancaster. I know that isn't Harrisburg, but you and your mom could meet in the middle. If you are interested go to here.
Have fun!
Here are the 2 sites i look at when looking for a tea room.

I've been to the ones in LAncaster and one or two in York, but not in Harrisburg, so i can't give you any persal recommendations, but home theses sites help. The Teamap gives reviews as well. I would make sure you call to make sure they are still in business since some have closed or moved or you may need reservations.
I asked my mom because she's a big tea buff (her and her friends go all over to different tea places). This is the info she told me...
1. Sweet Rememberances in Mechanicsburg is excellent and the owner is very nice/sweet and she's never had a bad experience there. She did say that they have limited hours so you should call or check their web site first and you might want to make reservations.
2. if you don't mind the drive she said Camellia's Sin in Carlisle is also excellent and really likes it
3. she also said Over the Teacup in Camp Hill is really nice too but she likes the other 2 a little bit more.
There is Olivia's Tea Room in Linglestown and also in Camp Hill. I heard they are great!
