My brother....

is in the Air Force and is heading over to Afganistan the end of August. SadHe'll be over there for 6 months with a 2 month debriefing afterwards. Please keep him in your thoughts/prayers!

I'll post updates once he gets over there.

Re: My brother....

  • I'll keep your brother in my thoughts. Mine was sent over to Iraq a month ago - so I know how you are feeling.
  • I will be thinking about both of your brothers.
  • I will keep them both in my prayers! My best friend's husband just got back from Iraq. She was on pins and needles for 15 months so I can understand how you feel.
  • I have a brother in the Army who has been in Afganastan for over a year. He's coming home in August! I have another brother who is in the AF and he spent 6mns in Iraq. I have hated every single minute of this. The only thing that has helped me is not watching the news! My parents watch religously and get "breaking war reports" sent to their emails. They are always on pins and needles until they hear from my brother.  I will keep your brother in my thoughts and prays. Let us know how he is doing when you hear from him!

    Thanks to everyone!!!

ebi - glad to hear your brother's coming home! I went to the movies over the weekend (batman!!) and started feeling sick during the previews because they were showing war movies!! I think I'll be avoiding the news, too.

  • Oh no...I'll keep you all in my prayers!
  • My heart goes out to everyone that has family over there.  My best friend's brother is getting ready to go back for the THIRD time.  She is always a mess when he's gone.  I will keep all of you in my thoughts.

  • I just can't imagine what families like yours has to go through.  Your brother will definitely be in my prayers.  God bless him.
  • Praying hard...  keep us updated!

  • It can be so difficult to have a sibling overseas...my sister is in the Army Reserve and was in one of the first groups to be sent to Iraq back in 2003. She was there for just over a year. I will keep your brother in my thoughts!
  • My heart goes out to you.  It was a very difficult time for our family when my brother went to Afghanistan only to go to Iraq next.  It was especially difficult for my mother.  I still don't think her nerves have recovered.  Make sure to be extra sensitive to her during this time.  I think its hardest on them.
