First Donatos now Fazoli's
It's crazy all these chains going out of business locally. I work in Oviedo and there are a ton of empty lease spaces. I feel bad for the small business owners.
I can't believe all the closings in the Oviedo Marketplace too!!

Re: First Donatos now Fazoli's
You're lucky - the Cold Stone in the Villages just shut down! Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!
The Cold Stone at University and Goldenrod closed down 3-4 months ago too.
Not to mention Krispy Kreme on University, Old Germany Restaurant, Fazoli's on University, Donatos on Univeristy and Dean, and Donatos on Red Bug..... the list continues and continues. It's so depressing and sad.
The quizno's (sp??) by our house closed down too. I actually liked their subs! MMMM..Toasty!
There are quite a few restaurants in Altamonte Springs closed. The Applebee's and Bennigans are closed and there's more on the way I've heard.
Are the Fazolis definitely closing? I thought I heard on the news this morning they were trying to sell them as franchises? But then I guess they will close if no one buys them.
I can't believe how many stores have left the Oviedo Marketplace. It's sad.
they are still there! I will be very sad if they ever close, I crave the garlic rolls they have there! yummmm!
Wow - I hadn't heard about Fazoli's - that's surprising. When we moved back to Oviedo in Dec, I kept trying to call Donato's to order a pizza and the two in our area were gone. I know they opened a lot of them very quickly, but still hard to believe they are closing all of them now.
And Oviedo Mall does make me sad. When the Gap left, it just got worse. And I fear that VS will be next. There are so many people living in that area, I don't know how these stores and restaurants are not making it.
Scuba - I can't believe those Altamonte locations are closing! Those are not little chains, and Altamonte seems like the last suburb on that side of town that has any business/crowds anyway...crazy.
