Uh oh.

I am being asked to create a list of what I am currently working on and what my daily tasks are and how much time I spend per day working on them...this can't lead to anything good.  Indifferent

Re: Uh oh.

  • oh no, well make sure to make yourself sound very busy and important.
  • Sorry that sounded kind of rude what I just said, i didn't mean to imply that you aren't actually busy and important!
  • I would refrain from mentioning thenest on that list of things you do... Wink

I hope it's not anything bad - maybe your company is just evaluating everything that they do to make sure they are being effective. ?I'm actually doing that for our firm right now!?

  • Make sure you include you nesting time Wink

It doesn't sound good but they may be looking at letting someone else go and they want to see how much more you can take on!

Thanks for trying to put a positive spin on it, but I doubt it.  Ugh.

  • FWIW, Jen, my manager had our team do this months ago.  I thought the same thing (since there's this big push to outsource and "leverage our partnership".)

Its meant not much for us.  In fact, there's slightly MORE stability now that they see that and recognize there's not much they can actually take from us.  (Oh, they COULD, but they're not totally stupid and recognize to take some of it... would mean lost $$$ for the company because SERIOUS quality issues would follow.)

Well, that is good for you.  However, that is not the case for me.  I am not crazy busy like I used to be.  They will know that once I send them my list.  :(

  • Oh no! I hope it doesn't mean what you think it means :(

I had to do that a year ago when corporate insisted I go from being a salary employee to an hourly employee. But I gave them plenty of reasons why I should still be salary and that's all the list was used for.
