Watching the Duggars on TLC and the bride of the oldest is on the beach in SC... she's wearing "wholesomewear" which is effectively a dress on the beach because they don't like to show anything above their knees.  Are you kidding?  Makes me grateful for the fact my parents allowed me to wear a traditioinal bathing suit. SO WEIRD!!

    I grew up with people like this. Weird but usually when the reach adulthood, they are totally normal.

    The oldest seems to continue to entertain the weirdness... but you know out of 18 kids, there HAS to be one bad egg that's going to go against the grain and wear (ahhhh!!) a bathing suit.

    When we moved to TX we ditched cable.  (It's not too bad - we still get about 8 channels that I consider acceptable, as well as lots that I don't watch.)

    I do miss all the good reality shows while my husband is SO happy that he does not have to see any of the TLC families anymore :)  He never found them fascinating like I did - what's not to like about watching 18 kids vote on their new sibling's name that starts with the same letter as everyone else's?

    Those "swimsuits" seem like they would really weigh you down in the water. I'm sure those girls swim very slowly in them. But I doubt any of them are interested in becoming professional swimmers. :)?
