American Idol Discussion
We'll see if anyone sees this. I hate to say it, but I think Kris and Danny will be in the bottom. I don't get why they would still do theme weeks when there are only 4 people left.

Even though Danny's performance tonight was painful, I'd still rather Allison go home. I've been waiting for weeks!
Kris did a Beatles song (gain points) but said "you've got to be Re" - what?! Free? (lost points) He's still better than Allison.
Here's Tim's thoughts on why it was Rock Week:
Producers: "Hmm.... how can we get rid of Kris... It's Rock Week!"
Enough said. His pouting after the duet performance and Simon's comment sent him home even before he sang.
Dialidol.com says only Adam is safe, however. We'll just have to see tonight.
I think Kris was def at a disadvantage this week ... he slaughtered a Beatles song and to me that is a capital offense ...
I don't know WHAT Danny was thinking with Dream On because if you can't rock that last note (and very few people can) you have no business attempting that song at all ...
Also, did anyone catch Kara's "You should do early Aerosmith like Crying or Crazy" ummm Kara ... those songs are from mid-late 90's ... not exactly what I would call EARLY from a band who has been around longer than I have been alive ... she is so fluff from the producers its not even funny ...
My thoughts.
If Adam makes a rock album like that then he'll be fine. Any thing else, any other kind of rock just wont work.
Allison, I love her. Although I know she wont win I still adore her. I know you hate her Slarce but I think it's pretty dumb to hate her for being weird. A lot of famous Rockers are pretty odd, yet they do pretty damn good for themselves. ::Cough OZZY Cough:: I like the fact that she's not in your face telling you why you should vote for her. You either like her or not, in the end she's still who she is and could careless about the other crap. SO to me that's more idol worthy than "My wife died vote for me, I'm hot vote for me, I'm dumb vote for me, I'm the youngest mixed person to win American idol vote for me." Whatever Allison rocks, and her voice is Unique.
A lot like Shelby feels about Kris and the Bettles songs I feel the same way about Aerosmith & Bon Jovi. AJ's number one rule is DO NOT ATTEMPTED either rocker without knowing you can blow it out of the park. I checked CNN this morning to make sure Steven Tyler didn't die of a massive heart attack after Danny's performance last night. I don't even think Adam can hit the scream that Tyler does. It is Tyler's signature, WHY would ANYONE attempted that? Flucking DUMB. Whatever. I no longer like you Danny. Go home.
Kris I also looked at him as singing an "Aerosmith song" mainly because I have it on CD with Aerosmith singing it and love their version. I love that song, and thought he did better than Danny. There is something about Kris that I like, but I much rather see him as a Country artist although he doesn't see that in himself (or so I believe).
In the end Adam is going to win. I don't for a second believe he was int he bottom last week. I think it's a "vote vote, because he's got a close run with Danny" kind of thing.
Although this week, I think Allison is going home. Kris has that "cuteness" factor that will let him win over her. Sad that a lot of people don't see Allisons potential after her duo with Adam last night.
This season is killing me. Music and singing are two of my passions and I just can't seem to stomach this Adam guy. I am a broadway junky and thought I would love him, but I hate his high screetching. It makes me cringe. In almost every season of idol, I could predict exactly what the judges would say before they said it. This year, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because everytime I HATE it they talk about how it was the best performance ever. In short, idol makes me sad this year.
Kris sounds EXACTLY like Jason Mraz. I happen to love Jason Mraz, but he's not very versatile when it comes to singing different styles. That puts him at a disadvantage, but I think that dude would sell a ton of records.
I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that way.
I hate this season. I think the good people are being over shadowed big time by those who AI producers think sould win. I hate it. From day one, it's been pushed in our face for a Adam Danny ending. Which drives me crazy.
I admit to knowing NOTHING about music but I like so many different things that I'm usually pretty good at telling who will sale. I think Kris would sale, and I think he would be great once the light was put on him and taken off of Adam. You can't compare him to Adam because he's so flashy. Honestly no one can really stand next to the dude without eyes going to him. Which is sad because Kris is absolutely amazing. Or so I think.
I think Danny has a really good voice, but he's one of those one hit wonders. Sure Clay Aikan was a good singer too, but you can only listen to the Measure of a Man so many thousands times before you realize the whole dang CD sounds just the same.
I still think Last season was way better.
(I don't like Ozzy, either. Personality matters. Chris Brown is a great singer but will I ever look at him the same? No.)
Kris has gotten better and better (with the exception of last night), so I think he deserves to be in the finals, even though I don't think he will be.
DITTO! And they are NOT rock stars....
