Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Get fired up!
Okay, this is phase one. I will post the "process" for Book Club in a later post.
In general, this will be relatively informal. You don't need to join or drop out. You can just participate when you want to and not when you don't. Mostly it will just be me maintaining a list of recommended reads from the 409ers, as well as who has read what, is currently reading what, etc. We will make a valiant attempt to have people reading the same things at roughly the same times so we can all discuss. There will likely be 3 or so books we are doing at "once" so that you all have options, can finish books you're reading now, can move ahead if you are a fast reader, etc. I will provide more detail later.
For now! If you want to participate I'm asking you to send me an email. In that email I would love for you to send me a list of books you recommend for our reading list. You can send me one book or twenty books, but if you send me a lot, I'll ask that you highlight your top 5.
Don't obsess over it, we can always add more later. They can be books you've read (ie recommend to others) or books you want to read. I ask that you make a note of whether you've read it or not in your email. Also, if there is anything you are currently reading, send me that too (If we have five people already reading, say, TWILIGHT, we'll make sure that is in the first set of recommended reads).
Also please send me your prefered contact email. Just in case others reading the same book want to email you. You can opt out if you are scared we will spam you.
In summary: Email me ASAP your:
-Prefered Contact Email
-Recommended Reads (call out if you have read it or not)
-What you are reading now (if applicable).

I will compile everything hopefully into an interactive google doc we can all edit/update. We're going for variety here, so don't be afraid to reco anything from classics to romance novels. In case you have trouble brainstorming popular books, here are some links to common "must read" lists.

I have in my posession Wuthering Heights (TR!), Angels and Demons, and oh a ton of other no namer books.
Thanks! I started with my favorite classics that I feel should be read at some point in your life. LOL.
Please excuse my mostly childrens books. I didn't read as a kid so now I tend to go back and read everything I feel like I missed.
