Sexy Nestie check-in

Hey ladies =) So I'm officially back in the nesting game, schools done, work has calmed down and oh lord on the homefront LOL...how's everyone doing health/fitness wise? I've become addicted to WiiFit and am doing it everyday, and working the 30-day shred in a couple days a week. How about you all? Any tips or diet suggestions? Hope you're all doing well and I'm so excited to get caught up on everything!! =)

Re: Sexy Nestie check-in

  • i haven't been working out at all, eating is OK but every now and then it's bad.  I've been keeping track of my walking with our walk challenge adn I've been doing more this week than before and that makes me feel good.  I've gotta step it up though, i'm just too tired though!!!
  • We also have Wii fit and I just ordered the shred. What do you use most on Wii fit? Sometimes I feel as if I am not really getting a good work out.

  • I wish we had a Wii, I would love Wii Fit.?

As it is, I am having a harder time with the moving more than I am with the eating better.

I've been having slim fasts for breakfast and either a salad or a lean cuisine meal for lunch. Suppers I have been trying to keep an eye on portions and also cooking healthier. The snacking is pretty good unless I wind up some place where there happen to be a lot of snacks around.. I try to not keep any junk in the house tho and that has helped.

I've only really worked out 2 of those days and that wasn't much. Thats where I need to get better. ?

But, with just the healthier eating for the most part, I've lost 5 pounds in the last 3 weeks. ?

  • I need o get my lazy ass to the gym, which should start to happen once I am done with this rotation (and it ends Friday, yay!).  I guess I don't really watch what I eat so much either, I just try to focus on portion control and making healthy choices.

A bunch of the apartment complexes I looked at have free fitness classes, including Pilates, which I have always wanted to try.  Has anyone done it?  Is it hard???

    Oh and Kat, welcome back!!!

  • I'm still eating really well and have been walking a lot and am feeling pretty good.  Definitely looking forward to all of the exercise we'll get on the HM, swimming and walking all over the place!

Renea - I LOVE Pilates.  I actually have a reformer (the Pilates machine) at home and had it set up and in use until I moved in with DH (now, I have no where to put it!).  Definitely try it.

Jenny  -YAY for the 5 pound loss. Congrats!

  • Keep up the good work ladies. I mostly use the aerobics on the WiiFit, and occasionally the yoga and the strength training. Whats frustrating for me is I feel I've been exercising and eating better, but I'm not seeing an improvement. Maybe it will just take some time =( Blah! LOL
  • Thanks Jen! I don't really feel like its much, since I've gained 15 since Dec, and 50 since I met DH.?

But I know its a ?journey. I lost 70 pounds in 8 months. It took me about 2.5 years to gain 50 of that back, so I know it'll take some time to get it off. Just gotta start small and work the way up to big changes. ?

  • Koonkat-How do you like the 30 day shred?  How hard is it?  I'm going to buy it tommorrow and just wanted to know what people think of it.
  • Unfortunately I'm experiencing a healthy weight gain so cant give you many suggestions. But once this 9-month gain is over, I'll be sure to invest in the 30-day shred as so many of you have had success with it Smile Best of luck and just stick to your goals!
  • I love the 30-day shred. It's 20 minutes of a full-on kick your butt workout...It's tough for me to do it everyday, but it's totally worth it. I did it for my Bpics and for the wedding, for 2 months and lost like 15+ pounds...plus eating right (and then slacked as of the honeymoon LOL)...I definitely think it's a good investment =)
  • Good to hear, thanks for the info!
