Let it be known that my head has OFFICIALLY exploded..... Before, it was just spinning... maybe a few rumbles.... but now, it's OFFICIALLY gone.
This show is NUTS!
Re: Losties....a chat?
Yeah, I just don't even know what to think at this point! I told DH last night that I think the show is called Lost because their goal is to make the viewers completely lost!
I am interested to see what happens with the sub and how getting rid of the bomb will affect the sub. If it stops the plane from crashing are the people on the sub going to live in the 70's or in present time or both?!
I've really been enjoying the Dharma 70s storyline this season. I think it's about to end and that makes me sad.
Can they change the future? I still kinda doubt it because so far they haven't changed anything. Baby miles and Charlotette are leaving the island like they always did, etc.
I think blowing up jughead will be "the incident", maybe?
I'm so confused about who is in charge of the Island. Clearly not Ben anymore. Alpert? Smokey? John? Jacob? They can't keep things simple on this show, can they?
I wonder if Locke killing jacob is a mercy killing since Jacob said "help me" to Locke last season?
I think Miles might be on deathwatch now that he's resolved his daddy issues.
That's all I've got!
I found it interesting that Ben never really seemed in control anyway... sorta just flying by the seat of his pants, ya know?
And... I have a sneaky suspicion that Juliette is down to her final days... maybe a finale killing off? I dont' want it to happen, as I like her/Sawyer together, but somethign BIG is gonna happen, and I just feel like it's a character death.
Also... yeah... so CAN they change the future? If they cant, what is the point of blowing up the swan station? It's to avoid the hatch built, right? Which, if there never is a hatch, then they can't imput the numbers to control the electromagneticism... and therefore, teh plane never crashes. ??
How off am I????
Yes, the point of blowing up the swan station is to avoid the 'incident' that caused Dharma to build the swan station where they had to push the buttom and then desmond would never 'fail' to push the button which is what caused the plane to crash. Jack is obviously convinced that this is the reason they were sent back to 1977, that it's their purpose.
Wouldn't an H-bomb pretty much destroy the entire island though? Hell, if it wiped out the whole island and everyone on it, that would pretty much have the same outcome. Except I guess that would also kill Ellie and Widmore, so Penny and Faraday would have never been born. I don't really see any other adverse effects though.
I could totally see the series finale being Flt 815 landing safely in LA, nobody really knowing each other.
I am excited to learn more about these Shadow of the Statue people, which I guess will be important next season. I think they are Egyptian decendents, like "native islanders", whose ancestors built the statue and made the temple and all that. I can't help but think Richard has something to do with them too. And the main reason I think this is because he wears eyeliner like an Egyptian.
the one main part that had me saying "HUH?" last night was Locke telling Alpert to tell his past self that he had to die. So the only reason Locke died is because he told himself to?
DK--I'm not really sure how that whole time jumping thing worked in relation to the scene with Locke and Richard and Locke telling Richard to tell him he had to die. I'm trying not to get caught up in it, though.
I think Jack thinking the reason they went back is going to be wrong, just like Sayid thinking that killing baby Ben was his reason. They all have yet to figure out that this is all about what the island wants.
