I know that you got a "promotion" and that you hate your new hours, but did you ever post what they were? I know that you worked nights before, so what is this horrible schedule that you have now?

Sat: 11pm-11am
Sun: 11pm-10am
It's worse because I now have to work weekends. They won't give me any other days off during the week. So, I don't get ONE SINGLE FULL DAY with my husband. And because of his school schedule in the fall, all we'll get is lunch on the weekends when I'm dog tired. That's it. No more hiking, canoeing, bicycles, movies, sexie time, NOTHING.
It's really not fair because the girl who had the position before me worked the sucky weekend hours, but she worked 8-5 during the week. NORMAL people hours. Instead, they're just going to suck all the energy out of me. Take advantage of me. I'm not sure how long I'll put up with it before I put my foot down and demand more $$ and a schedule change. For now, I'll be thankful that I'm moving up and keep my mouth shut. I'll discuss it with the bosses once I prove I'm worthy of the position and we re-negotiate my contract. It's still not an official promotion until I prove I can handle the job. (duh! I'll be fine!)
::phew:: It was nice to let that all out. I hope the bosses don't see it since we're not supposed to blog about this sort of thing online. :- (

Knowing the last girl's hours sound like it'll give you a good place to negotiate from. Would you work nights during the weekend and days during the wek? That's gotta be hard.
