Biggest Loser (Spoilers!)

Ok, we seriously need some activity on this board!!!

Who do y'all think will win? Who do you think SHOULD win?

I'm a nerd and totally voted for Ron to go home, which I think will happen. I'd love to see Mike win the whole kit n caboodle, but I think his biggest competition is Tara and she'll be tough to beat. Helen is pretty strong too, though!

I thought it was cool that Ron finished the marathon. While I don't think it was probably the smartest thing considering all the health issues, I think it's awesome that he did it. Rock on, old man, rock on! Also loved how the trainers helped Max (Mike's bro) when they came to visit Ron and Mike! I really hope they can help him and he loses the weight too!

In a sad sort of way, it was kind of funny when Helen was asking her husband if the pants were his. It's so cool to see them have the "revelations" about their lives before! I wish they could all win because they've all done so well!!

This is the first time I've watched the BL.. don't they have a prize for someone who already went home and has lost a lot? Or how does that work? I've never paid attention to the show before this season!

Re: Biggest Loser (Spoilers!)

  • Yes, the rest of the sent home contestants (I think everyone but the final 3?) are competing for Biggest Loser At Home for $100k.

You said voted for Ron to go home.  I voted for Mike to stay!  Did I mess up?!  LOL!

  • Yes, they have prize for whoever loses the most weight that was not part of the final 3, so it's nice to have a "second place" option.

I voted for Ron to stay in the top 3.  Mainly because of his actions and lieing to others.  I feel like he's been a snake in the grass this whole game just to get his son to win.  I have a feeling America will vote to keep Mike in the final 3 though.  I do think Mike has done a fantastic job, but we was really getting too cocky for me in the last few weeks.  I have a feeling it's going to come down to whoever can beat Nicole for the 2nd place prize. She looked fantastic the last time I saw her on the show.

    I want Tara to win.

  • I have a feeling Mike will win, but like Mariah said, I am kind of "off" of him because of the way he has been acting the past few weeks. I was for him the whole time until he started saying he thought he would win.

I think it will be a tough competition between Tara and Mike, but I guess you never know - Helen could jump in there!

I hope they get Max on the next season or I hope he has already lost some weight by the finale. I feel really bad for him and was also glad Bob started helping him out. I kind of thought it was sad, though, when Mike said that he was annoying him or disgusting him or whatever when he saw his brother now because I was thinking that Max is going to see the episode when it aired on TV and I thought that sounded so harsh. He's already sad as it is.

Really hope those orange team boys picked it up a little bit. It was so sad when one of them came back that time and had only lost a little bit of weight.

  • Mike's hip injury could really be a factor during his time at home.  I'm rooting for Tara.

  • Lauren, I hope the Orange team does well, too!  I know David was having a hard time, especially when he came back...but the recap they showed of Daniel when he was voted off made it look like he was doing really well, runnning on the track and getting off of his medications.  I'm rooting for him.  I can't wait for Tuesday!
  • The thing you have to remember about Mike is that he is just an 18-year-old kid. He has been overweight his entire life and now he is thin(er), in shape, and looks good. You find me one teenage boy who would not start to exhibit the confidence that he has. I can still see what a good-hearted kid he is when he does things like jeopordize himself trying to help his little brother and standing there crying like a baby watching his dad finish that race.

I voted for Mike to stay. I would love it if either he or Tara won. And I would not be disappointed if Helen won either. She is awesome.

I was so happy to see Ron finish that marathon. After all the other challenges that he has sat out of or quit early, I thought for sure he would nt make but a couple of miles. Yeah, he had some health concerns, but obviously, they had a doctor on hand to closely monitor him and I'm sure if his health was in actual danger, they would have insisted he stop. I don't believe that even a doctor being paid by the show would allow him to continue.

Oh, and I love seeing the former winners. Ali still my girl and favorite winner of all time!

  • I would love to be on this show-its so inspiring and facinating and the goals and things they accomplish.  I vote for Ron to go-while I think he has accomplished alot, I think he needs to take care of his health and injuries.  Im thrilled he stuck out the marathon-kudos to him!

I think itll be close as far as who wins.  I think Tara has done great (and she looks way fabulous), but theres something about her that just bugs me.  And she seems to have this attitude, 'dont leave me, I cant do it without you.'  I notice that when it comes times to vote someone off...she always picked someone because she "needed them and couldnt be alone"...I just dont think thats good for her game and its really not good for what they are trying to accomplish-you have to learn to be strong and get through weightloss even if no one is right by your side.  She just seems really needy and somewhat dingy-I think she smart and all, but everyonce in a while she seems sort of absent minded.  I think Mike is great.  I see the attitude mentioned, but for all he has accomplished and the fact that he is 18, Im not suprised, nor does it sway me-its almost typical.  I dont really have an opinion of Helen-I think its fantastic that she is doing so well-its a great example for "older" people that think they cant loose weight because its too late.

Oh and I really liked it when the trainer spent some time with Max...I know its so overwhelming for him, and on tp of that he has seen is dad and bro completely change, and he is the different one now.  I think it was really specail to give him that gym attention and motivation.  I just really feel for his hurt inside.

Overall, Id like to see Mike win.

  • My DH thinks Tara is hott. lol :)

I would be happy with her, Mike or Helen winning.  I think they are all amazing.

I agree with you about Mike,  Poor kid deserves to be a little cocky.  I say good for him!  Also, it's not like Tara hasn't been cocky at LOT this season.  I still love them both.  I would like Mike or Tara to win.  Tara kind of deserves it since she totally kicked ass on campus, though.

  • Tara looks like Kate Winslet to me.

I also loved the old contestants coming back last night.  But I wish they introduced them and gave a little tidbit about what they've been up to lately.  They did a little w/ Ali, Michelle and Bernie.  But at the end w/ Heba and that other guy, they didn't!  boo. hiss.

AW: I met Bernie "Berndana" Salazar last Oct. and he's super sweet!  and little!

  • I didn't read everyone's response yet.

I think Tara should win and deserves to win.  That girl is a machine she has won so many challenges and stuff.

I can't stand Helen, don't know what it is but she bugs me.  Maybe because she put herself before her daughter and let her daughter go home instead of her.  You could tell her daughter hadn't lost much at home.

I hope Mike is in the finals.  Ron annoy's me also.   I would like to see Mike or Tara win but I am leaning toward Tara.

  • Maui - No, no! You're right! I voted for Mike to stay too, I just worded it really poorly above lol. I guess I meant that by voting for Mike to stay, I was voting for Ron to go

Totally agree with everyone who said Mike (and ALL of them, for that matter) have every right to be cocky. Dude, if I lost 100+ lbs in 17 weeks, you can bet I'd have a cocky attitude about it!! They have every reason to be SO proud of themselves and flaunt it!

  • I wasn't saying that I don't think they have a right to be cocky. I think it is incredibly awesome how well they have done. But,I thnk it could be done in a better way. I am all for saying how well you have done and being happy that you have accomplished so much. I just didn't think Mike went about it the right way by saying in front of the other contestents "I think I'm going to win."

On the other hand, if I was one of the other people, that would just make me work even harder to try to beat him.

That's exactly how I felt too!  I think it just rubbed me the wrong way.  And I agree that it probably made everyone work harder once he said that.
  • Agree with everyone!!  Smile

I want Mike to win.  He has been so generous with his prizes and I want him to win.  For some reason, I really don't like Tara.  She annoys me, but I can't put my finger on why.  She doesn't seem very strong and is a little needy, as someone mentioned.  I don't like Helen at all.  I can't believe she put herself before her daughter.  She is getting cocky too.

I hope it's:  Mike, Tara and then Helen.  If Mike can't win, then I want Tara to win.

I was totally tearing up when Ron was finishing the marathon with all the people around him.  What a great testament to teamwork and being there for others.  I agree, he's the "godfather" of the season, but he stated at the beginning what his intentions were and no one voted him off and stopped him.

  • I really want Tara to win. I like Mike but something about him just rubs me wrong. I really don't have an opinion on Helen, I think she is fine but don't really like or dislike her. Ron has just been annoying and I think that he puts so much focus on Mike so that he doesn't have to deal with his own issues. I really don't think he will be able to keep off the weight, which I think will make it difficult for Mike at that point.
