So... I've never been to Pete's and we're going on Saturday for a friend's birthday! Who has been and what did you think?
Re: Pete's Piano Bar
I've been to the Fort Worth location and have always had fun. It's really, really crowded - the earlier you can arrive the better. I've never had a problem getting reservations in Fort Worth - I don't know about other locations - but I've been with smaller parties. Don't expect to be able to interact with the people you are with much - it's too loud. And bring some cash.
Its alot of fun, but like the pp says, take cash, and do what you can to get a table.
I went for a bachelorette party, and I couldnt have imagined what it might have been like if we didnt have a reserved table. It is a small place and views are limited if you are standing-and it isnt like the people at the reserved tables leave after a little while and tables pop open...in other words, people that reserve tabled are there are there because thats where they are hanging for the night-they didnt just walk in off the street. There are cancellations though, and I remember we got an extra table because one near us didnt show.
I liked it alot-it was a blast, but it isnt somwhere Id for just for the heck of it with a couple people. The entertainment itself revolved around the bachelorette parties to me-they entertain the crowd thats there specifically...some birthdays were given a little attention. It just seemed to be really the place to go for a bachelorette party...seems like that was all that was there when we went.
I was going to mention it was very bachelorette-y the night we went, it is a great place for that but still. I actually think they have a few people planted in the audience that are part of the show to bring up on stage to do stuff because some of the skits wouldn't have been nearly as funny if a regular customer did it.
