They are filming a Kitchen Nightmares in FoHi!

All of you Forest Hills ladies! They are filming a Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares at PJs steakhouse on Yellowstone Blvd.

I've had drinks there, but never food. I wonder how bad it was. I wish it wasn't a monsoon out there, I'd be strolling BabyP and myself past to see if we could see Chef F-Bomb Ramsay himself.

  • Is that the place that charges $200 pp to eat there?  My H thinks this is extremely funny.

  • I don't think they charge that much. $200 pp is a bit much. I noticed that their steaks were overpriced, but not that much. Which place charges that much?!!

Not sure why I thought that.  Dan and I looked at the menu online and it was quite a bit per person.  Maybe I was looking at the wrong thing.

That is very cool that they are filming locally though.  When we lived in Sunnyside, they filmed lots of things near us (Kate Hudson movie, episodes of Rescue Me).  We got asked if we would let the producers of Rescue Me use our apt in the show.  We declined.

  • Rescue Me also asked my parents, who live in Sunnyside.  They also declined.

We were recently left a notice that they would like to look at our house to use for the Kevin Smith movie, but we didn't call them.

Kevin Smith is one of my faves, I totally would have done that.

  • Ah!  I totally missed this!  So funny!  DH and I were on an episode of kitchen nightmares last year!  They were at Black Pearl, a seafood place that has since closed in Chelsea.  DH found an ad looking for diners on craigslist and we went with another couple.  We're pretty sure they messed up on purpose.  We had a blast hamming up our complaints and ended up with a free meal (they did expect us to pay but gave us each $40 towards the meal).  We ended up being shown- my friend's fiance complained bc her "fried" shrimp was raw..
