I was just looking at hotels in Belize and wondering where you stayed when you got married?? I checked out a private island resort but it was way out of my price range. I also looked at the Belizean Cove resorts which look really nice....
Re: **shari**
we stayed at La Perla del Caribe

villa pearl for wedding week and for wedding night i think we stayed in the villa sappire for privacy from the others.
let me know where you are thinking and i will get advice from my sister. ?she lives there part time and maybe she can help you get discount. ?i am not sure about her connections.
ok- i am with her and family today for mothers day weekend. ?i will get all the details and let you know in few hrs. ?when are you thinking of going?
snorkling is great there- i believe they have the 3rd largest reef in the world. ?we snorkled with huge stingrays and nurse sharks which was pretty frightening. ?we also saw a huge eel - at that point i was done!
my sis is really good friends with the owner of amigos del mar- they do snorkling and fishing trips etc...maybe she could get you a discount for a snorkle trip to Hol Chan Marine Reserve and shark ray alley.?
sisters thoughts on belizean cove:
-pricewise its very expensive.
-3 miles north to center to town- so you need to take a golf cart or water taxe to town.
-sis has been inside and they are nice condos
-not many restaurants around there, so you would either want to go further north or into san pedro town for dinners (less than 10 min water taxi)...they run every other hour?
if you are going during rainy season, sister says you will only be able to take a water taxi to town cause no rental golf carts that time of year.
if you are going with another couple this summer, la perla is also having a special for their 2 bedroom, 2 bath villas ($400/night for 4 people)??
