Freaking Out

my boss just asked me to take 1 maybe 2 weeks unpaid. he knows we put in an offer on the house, he doesn't want to lay me off, I have clients that owe me a ton of money, but who haven't paid, i'm freaked out. We can handle a couple of weeks unpaid, and honestly we could handle the morgage, but this is the worse possible time since we're in the final approval process, you know the part where they verify employment, ugh. need some positive vibes.

Re: Freaking Out

  • Ugh, I'm sorry!!  Rotten timing is RIGHT! Sad  I hope it all works out, though...lots of good vibes for you guys.
  • I'm really sorry.  It shoudln't effect the verification of employment though.  I will be sending good thoughts your way.

  • I am sorry.  That sucks but at least on the positive, you still have your job.
  • I'm sorry.  What horrible timing.  I hope everything works out.  Does it look like any of your clients will be sending a check soon?

  • some checks should come in next week, so I'm hoping it's just one week. I talked to the kids school and I'm pulling them out for the week of 'vacation', so that will help, just to give us a little cushion. I just redid our family budget and even worse case (a few months off or even unemployment) we could easily afford the mortgage, so now I just need to convince the hubs, he wants to pull our offer.
  • It will be ok. ?A couple weeks unpaid is nothing. ?Just think of it this way - maybe you could take them after you close on the house and that will give you one or two weeks to get things in order. ?
