Pavilion Rentals in NYC or Long Island parks
Has anyone rented a pavilion at a park in the area? We're thinking of having Aaron's bday party at a park, but we dont want to worry about the rain (its always hit or miss in June) so we figure if we rent a pavilion we'll be safe. I'm just wondering how to go about renting one and an approximation on a cost for the rental. Thanks for any info you guys might have!!!

You have to fill out the application for the park dept in nyc 30 days in advance of when you want the party. You need to have the exact location, date, time of start & end of party, how many people attending and very descriptive reason for the party, what you'll have, etc.?

That sounds like a pain in the neck! Have you rented a pavilion beforer? Where are places in our area that I could rent one? We want to have Aaron's bday as an outdoor bbq/picnic...can you think of anyplace we could bbq and be under a pavilion? Thanks for all the info! I really appreciate it! I guess i'll have to start filling out the permit thing as soon as we figure out where we want to have the party because his bday is June 18th!! eek! I hope I get all the info in to the city in enough time!
