Your mothers day brunch does sound awful. I'm sorry that they're both off their rockers, but it sounds like you have it all in perspective.

Thanks Slarce. They are both off their rockers, luckily I know that. After almost four years I've learned to just take everything they say with a grain of salt. And I never say anything to S because he knows they're ridiculous and I don't want to upset him. He's not very close with his mom anyway, she wasn't really around when they were growing up and his gma basically raised he and his brother. I'm just sad I didn't get to meet her, I've heard she was an amazing lady.
At least I know I'm married in the church of Slarce
