When did I become the big sister?

Age-wise I'm the youngest out of me and my two sisters, except recently my oldest sister has been coming to me for advice.

She is having issues and problems and honestly I just don't know what to tell her.  I can't figure out at what point we switched roles.  I always looked up to her and now she looks up to me and needs my advice and I don't even know if I can help.

Re: When did I become the big sister?

  • Maybe she just sees the place that you're at in your life is the place she wants to be in the future.  It must feel kind of strange...I know I'd feel strange asking my younger sister for advice.
  • I don't think it's weird at all.  My sister is 4 years younger than me but she's always been the more level headed/sensible one and I've always been the emotional one, so I ask her for her advice on a lot of different things.
  • My sister is 10 years older them me and I always give her advice

I guess I just always looked up to her and wanted to be just like her, and now she looks up to me and wants to be like me.  It's a very strange role reversal.
